  Last week I left my car parked up on the pavement front and rear wheels parked up nearside.Four metres in front of me there is a sign on a post showing parking on pavement allowed viewed from my windscreen and just beyond that many cars parked up on the pavement.I have now received two penalty notices(Ileft the car there for several days).I've gone back to the "scene of the crime" and noticed that on the reverse of the parking allowed sign it shows a parking dissallowed sign which could only be read if you obviously had gone beyond sign and come back on yourself!

  The fuel gauge takes from between 10 - 30 seconds to register after the engine has started - it used to be instant. The aircon button on the dash has stopped working. The heated rear windscreen button no longer comes on, it flicks briefly and their is a click from the central fuesbox. Oh and the radio has died.   The battery is fine, the fuel line pressure was fine, nothing seemed clogged.  I had the heating running on the 15th and 18th, not on the 17th.   I took my car into one those automated car washed (well known company). I have ended with multiple chips on my windscreen. It seens their roller brush had grit on. It was on the side of the windscreen. I left the car wash, did not noticed too much and it seemed like water drops from the car wash.

  Peugeot 306 1994 Mardi Gras 5 door Folks, The left hand front road lamp is dimmer than it should be. The right hand front road lamp works just fine. All other lamps on the car are working just fine. So I went down to Halfords and got another : the bulb replaced is a GE H4 12V 55/60W 50440U E1 2D7 HUNGARY C.

  I work in an air conditioned office and so wear the same attire all year round i.e. shirt and tie but never a jacket, as the temperature is the same all year round. Also, I rarely wear a coat on my drive to work, whatever the weather. The car is within 10 feet of my front door and at the other end it's about 100 metres. So unless it's raining, there's no need. I do keep a coat in the car for emergencies though. With the weather turning a bit chillier, just above freezing this morning, I can stand a few minutes in the car until the heat starts coming through, but I seem to be pretty much in the minority.

  I was just wondering if its possible to renew the discs without removing the brake caliper cage as last year i could not get the bottom bolt losse so i just split the caliper by removing the two allen key bolts and replaced the pads that way and as dont have acces to any heat to warm the seized  bolts up any advice would be welcome.

  Was coming onto the A34 from Oxford on Thursday night(9pm) when a Gritter several metres in front of me at the traffic lights starting spraying grit all over the place (as they do) and I couldn't get out the way quick enough as there was traffic all around me. Ended up chipping paint off my bonnet and chips all over my windscreen.

  My friend has an M-reg Mondeo which, after heavy rain, has water ingress in the front passenger footwell. There aren't huge puddles or anything but he likened it to someone that had been sitting there with wet shoes! I assume therefore the water is falling from above, i.e. glove box / dashboard area or possibly roof / windscreen / door.

  I'm not sure whether the air conditioning is working properly. During the winter, it took a long time to clear condensation (friends say theirs clear the windscreen in minutes). And during the recent hot weather, it was pretty useless at cooling the car interior - so bad, in fact, that eventually we had to open the windows to get some relief from the heat.
