BMW 5 Series F10 - Monitoring 12 volt battery 19 Jan 2018 (Forum)
I would like to monitor my battery with some sort of in-car gadget so that I don't end up with a dead battery. It would need to be portable so that I could also use it in my wife's Yaris. Any ideas or experience would be greatly appreciated. -

Car battery charger 14 Dec 2008 (Forum)
I need a battery charger for my Mk3 Golf. I have a £10 Argos voucher so would like to buy it from there. They have 5 types - the cheapest is not suitable as the battery is a 62Ah. Has anyone any experiences of the ones they sell in Argos? -
Car Batteries 19 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Looking for recommendations for a good decent car battery. The battery is to go into a 406 1.9 TD & will be mostly used by my wife to take herself to college & 2 of our kids to school. It will do no more than 8 miles a day MON-FRI with a distance run every other month. -
Vauxhall Vectra Battery 1 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Can anyone tell me the correct battery for my 1997 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 Auto. The hand book offers 4, 44Ah/55Ah/66Ah/70Ah and no indication which is right for my car! Various local battery suppliers say 40Ah is plenty big enough and others say must be 60Ah. -
Correct Battery For Peugeot 306 12 Jul 2003 (Forum)
The handbook doesnt state the correct battery spec, so we dont know whether its a knackered 063 that needs replacing, or it should be an 065 in there. Also, on trying to start it with a almost flat battery the alarm always sounds on turning the engine....the AA guy said this always happens on any alarm...is that also correct or could the alarm be faulty and draining the battery whilst standing. -
Ford B-Max ecoboost 125 - Battery condition start/stop 21 Apr 2018 (Forum)
I appreciate if the battery is too low the vehicle disables these functions. I have never been unable to start vehicle so battery is adequate but think not much reserve for multiple starts. And possibly contributes to shortening the life of the battery. -

Ford Mondeo II (1996 - 2000) - 99 1.8 Motorcraft batteries 4 Nov 2008 (Forum)
I've also tried trickle charging it overnight to no effect. What does the red indicator mean? I've had 7 years out of the battery so far, so I suppose I can't complain about the durability of the motorcraft batteries! -
How long does it take for a battery to charge? 27 Oct 2007 (Forum)
A general question and not make/model specific. {choice now dropped - DD} So, for example, if you take a 32 Amp battery and you have a 65 Amp alternator, would it charge it from flat in half an hour? Unlikely I'm thinking, so how quickly can a battery charge? I realise an alternator has to be capable of running the lights, heated rear window, wipers and everything else plus charge the battery. -
battery light flashing golf 1988 19 Feb 2007 (Forum)
My battery light is flashing on my 1988 1.3 golf, When driving normally my battery light is flashing, if I stop the car and give it gas for high revs the light goes out. I took a voltage reading from the alternator (at idle is around 12volts) then again tested with lights and heaters on with engine at (high revs) voltage reads 13.85 volts, battery voltage at this time is above the 13 volts at high revs. -
Jump-start using a Volvo V70? 13 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Hi Wanted to jump-start a car using the Volvo V70 as the good-battery car. The manual tells you where to connect cables when you want to jump-start the V70 itself (using terminals under bonnet rather than direct to battery in boot) but not what to do where the V70 is the good-battery car. -
Battery Recommendations? 10 Jun 2002 (Forum)
The signs are that I'm close to needing a new battery on my 1992 BMW 525i automatic. I thought I'd get a quote from the local BMW dealer but also from a couple of other sources. I'm after a good quality battery at a reasonable price; the trouble is I am out of touch with the technology and don't know what to look for. -
