The i20 Active is powered by two different versions of Hyundai's new three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The lower power 100PS returns 58.9-61.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 106-111g/km.

    Built by British racing driver, the late David Hepworth in 1968, this Formula 5000 four-wheel drive car was the first car to break the 30-second barrier at Shelsley Walsh in 1971. Hepworth International, run by David’s son Stephen, will also bring the original Cooper/Chevrolet hillclimb car. The Cooper’s history goes back to the 1960 Formula One season in which it was entered by RRA for Geoff Richardson to compete with an Alta engine, it was also driven on occasion by Paul Emery.

    The BBC has succeeded in its long-running battle for MoT failure rates to be published. It means for the first time that owners and prospective buyers will have detailed access to MoT records and reasons for failure. The figures show that the 2002-2009 Renault Megane fails a higher percentage of MoTs than any other car (28% failure rate) with the 2003-2006 Vauxhall Corsa in second with 24.7 per cent, the 2000-2005 Ford Mondeo in third with 21.8 per cent, the 2001-2010 Renault Clio in fourth with 21.2 per cent and the 1996-2009 Ford Ka in fifth with 21 per cent.
