  The Volvo's interior is generally wearing its 130,000 miles very well, but there are a couple of areas where a bit of tidying might be appropriate. The black plastic door cappings are marked in a couple of places, particularly where they disappear behind the interior door handles.

  Not in the market for a car, just had the opportunity to drive both this week. Usually just get to drive the Focus. Unfortunately the Volvo was rather disappointing to drive, better just to sit in and listen to the posh Harman Kardon stereo.

  I seem to remember there is an a 'wizard' on this forum with regards to electrics and electronics for vehicles. I have a Volvo XC60 D4. From new, 3 years ago. I had a Silent Witness dash cam installed and hard wired. The mounting is just right of the mirror cluster, fixed to the windscreen. The camera will detach from its triangular mounting.

  I'm looking to see if anyone has had issues with replacement wheel bearings: I've replaced both front wheel bearings and discs on my Volvo v50 (2.0l D). There is no bearing retaining ring, they rely on an interference fit. However, the left front bearing has pushed back out of the hub, to the point where the disc started to rub against the caliper mounting bracket.

  Our driving pattern makes a petrol engine seem like the logical choice but some models which are attractive, such as BMW tourings in 3 and 5 series, and V70 Volvo estates, are almost impossible to find in petrol form. ( We're looking at either new or up to 3 years used) We are also considering Quashqais and X Trails, and although there are a few petrol versions about they are far less common and I am concerned that when trying to resell they will be harder to shift.
