Honda Jazz/Fit (2008 - ) - 5 miles in a new Jazz 9 Sep 2009 (Forum)
His almost 30 year love affair with the Fiesta is over ? my sister is buying his 1.4TDCi, just run in at 90,000 miles and my mum?s is sold. It was a 51 reg, but with only 24,000 miles and he could have sold it a dozen times. I had a drive in the Jazz last night and it is a well sorted car. Equipment levels are up there with far more expensive cars, the only major items it doesn? -

Unreasonable expectations re: part exchange? 24 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Furthermore, Honda didn't want to budge on the price of a new Type S, saying they may be able to knock a couple of hundred quid off the exchange cost (which would be £7500 to start with). I realise it's not a great time to be buying/selling cars (particularly for Honda!) -
Physical degeneration and the motor Car 12 Nov 2007 (Forum)
.` I remember age 17yrs laughing at the `Old Man`, who was contemplating power steering on a car back in the 60`s. The humour in it was not just my perceived `wimpishness`of this, but that he was built like a tank. Then there was the maestro clubman D i did 130,000 miles in the early 90`s and the frozen shoulder that refused to heal, followed by the other one going too. -
An open letter to Nissan 29 May 2007 (Forum)
In buying Nissan I came to expect a level of mechanical integrity, build quality, reliability and in turn a dealer network capable of fixing faults when they do occur quickly efficiently and painlessly. Cars are complex things after all, and it?s not unreasonable to expect things to go wrong ? it?s how these wrongs are rectified that makes the difference. I was until recently the owner of a 2004 Primera 2.2 dCi ? a car I admired for its design, and specification. -
Insurance fun and games 25 Apr 2007 (Forum)
I've looked on ABI, and it appear that the S80 2.4 T (2435cc) is group 15 out of 20, and group 31 out of 50 on the new rating. The group is the same for both S and SE trims The S80 2.5 T (2521cc), which I have is also group 15/31, except the SE trim, which I have, is group 16/33. So it looks like what's happened is that many insurers will take me in the Group 15, but not the Group 16 car, as a young driver, and if I'd got the S trim, I'd still be in the same insurance group as the 2.4l, but my leather seats and 8-speaker sound system would cost me an extra £1000/year in insurance. -
ALB under difficult conditions 16 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Anyone who has seen a demonstration of ALB allowing the car to brake and steer and thinks that this will really work under all conditions is living in a fool?s paradise. Sorry to have gone on a bit, but two questions: 1) Have other BR?s experienced the above? 2) What should (could) my wife have done (I suggested using the handbrake)? SPOSP
