  Some of the radio buttons on my car have a surface imperfection, this manifests itself as a crinkled surface, it looks to be a manufacturing fault. Any ideas? Steven

  I have installed a secondhand Kenwood KDC 3024 radio into my car. No instruction book supplied, does anyone have one they do not need? Can anyone enlighten me as to how I can get Traffic Information on this particular set up. Many thanks.

  Took delivery of it on 16th December 2015. When we test drove it a week earlier we found the car radio didn't work. The salesman said the workshop would sort it out for us. The following day he telephoned to say the radio was totally dead and it would need a new radio which would be done before we took delivery.

  Firstly my grateful thank's to those who patiently provide radio codes. Fitted new battery to my Ford Fusion 1.4 & lost radio, no code in manual so asked my friend Google who sent me here. Found the code generator and followed the instructions re hold 1 & 6 for Serial No.

  hi guys im having such a drama getting my 6000cd radio out of my car i have bought the right removing tools to get this out but am having no luck at all, i think its jammed in there somehow? i was wondering if there is another way of getting my m/v number of my radio without having to remove the radio as i need the code to unlock my cd player as my bat went flat and its asking for the codes but i have no handbooks etc.

  Hi there i've been reading through this website and found alot of people were helped in retreiving their radio code by someone called galaxy, i recently had clutch and timing belt done and i didn't get a manual with the car when i baught it from a dealer (rage) and now the radio is asking me for a code which i don't have, it's a M type serial number "M014227" is the number i gto from the radio by pressing 2 & 6.

  My first Merc is a 2003 C270 and I love it to bits apart from one thing.  The A10 radio/casette has the worst radio reception of any car I have owned.  It's fine where the signal is strong but fades quickly at the bottom of hills and even disappears completely in some areas where reception is possible in all other vehicles.

  It is a bog standard Astra Mk 4 (the one before the model that started in about 05), which was the Mk 5 I think. The radio/cassette is a standard Vauxhall unit (yes, cassette !!) but difficult to use as the separate display (which is in the dash above the radio and other controls) is totally blank. I think as well as the radio output, it also should carry the date/time and possibly temp.

  I have an MGF ( X reg) and recently had to disconnect the battery. Now I can't find the radio code to get the radio / cd player up and running again. I have tried the previous owner to no avail and my old MG Rover garage tell me they no longer have access to the database where this information was held ( they are now a SEAT garage).

  I am after some advice on changing a double din Ford Puma Radio/CD to a standard sized one. One of SWMBO work colleagues had her car broken into and the Ford one stolen As there is a market for these, she has decided that a non-Ford one would be better. Having replaced many radios, I have been volunteered to fit the new one.

  Yesterday whilst driving the right hand set of speakers stopped working as I was listening to the radio. Funny thing is they all work perfectly when listening to a CD. As soon as I put the radio on only the left hand side works. As the car is a 'bangernomics' run around I really don't want to splash any dosh out for a new unit, but I do like to listen to the radio.

  Hi, I have a 1.8LX 1999 v reg 406 petrol engine. I was fitting a new radio last weekend, with the radio turned on - As I slid the radio in, the power went off. I have lost my switched 12v to my radio, dashboard rev counter, petrol gauge and oil gauge and LCD displays - also the car wont start!

  The Megane is supplied with a custom fit radio, but there seem to be an almost infinite variety of Philips radios fitted to Renaults that all look identical. Can anyone shed any light on the differences. The reason for asking is that the radio on my 1996 model has packed up (estimate to fix "over £100").

  If this is true, I am alarmed at a device so heavily tested before bringing into use, has this weakness. Apparently ambulance radios have the same affect. I wonder if readers remember people getting free petrol by using CB radios at filling stations some years ago!

  The car has just had a new clutch fitted and the garage disconnected the battery. Now I cannot access the radio. I looked on YouTube and found an override method but that has stopped working now.  To fix this properly, I seem to need a 4 digit code which may or may not be on the back of the radio but that is built in to the dashboard and would be very expensive to take all that out.

  Hi all My radio has suddenly decided to emit no sound. Have also realised parking sensors are also not audible. I’m guessing the two are related as I know the sound often drops on the radio when the parking sensors kick in.

    Bought a second hand Ford Fiesta at the weekend and when I got back to my parents and tried re-starting it the battery was as flat as a pancake. Charged the battery up but now the radio needs a security code. The garage arent being particularly helpful. Make of radio is 4500 RS EON and the Serial number is M606833 Does anyone know where I can get the code for this as the page at the back of the manual where its supposed to be is blank.

  Just bought a really clean 2000 Laguna estate for donkeywork renovating a house. very useful car and boot space a1. one gripe is the very poor quality of the radio reception. The reception is abysmal and listening to any radio station is a joke. I can't see an external aerial so I assume its wired into the rear screen. Any ideas of a possible ficx or location of associated amplifier?

  It makes no difference whether you tune it in the local or DX mode so I suspect a fault on the radio, unless anyone knows different? Thanks. Peter
