Hi, I am trying to remove the gearbox on My 1990 Talbot campervan LHD. The vehicle has the auxillary driver pulley on the n/s (drivers) of the engine. There is a shaft that runs out of the engine and through the top of the bellhousing for the gearbox which is supported by a bearing bracket. I have removed all driveshafts, starter, bell housing bolts ect. -

Alfa Romeo 156 - Engine Temperature gauge not working Alfa Romeo156 12 Jan 2014 (Forum)
I have previously has a Saab 93 with thermostat issues that lead to a head gasket failure in less than a week. So am weary of this 156's issue. I'd be travelling from London to Huddersfield. Is this car a risk or an easy fix? Thanks for reading and any help and advice that can be given -

Yeti 4 x 4 - Skoda Yeti 4x4s in reverse. 25 May 2013 (Forum)
We carefully tried ours on very steep wet grass [famously slippery] field and the Yeti, apart from a surprising clutch-burn smell, was great while our 2 farm Defenders were, to the surprise of none here were slipping about like slippery- s***-off-a-shining-shovel ... as per usual. This is because Defenders notoriously have only a central diff-lock which, sure, sends drive to the front & back axles but then have no limited-slip or locking diffs. -

FIAT Punto - Power Steering Failure 9 Mar 2012 (Forum)
A certain H****’s manual said how difficult it was to remove the steering motor. I took the plastic cover off the steering column, four bolts, a small socket set removed a further 3 bolts and the motor dropped out, very easy, 10 minutes work. -
Citroen C3 - Battery Light Issue 31 Jan 2012 (Forum)

Subarus/other ordinary cars with 4x4 good in snow? 27 Dec 2011 (Forum)
I just wondered what they are like i nthe snow and compacted snow that turns to ice. I've seen a lot of the BMW X5 and X3 "4x4"s (I use the quotes wisely) round here and they seem to get stuck on a bit of frost on the level - all 4 wheels spin round. As do some of the other "fake" 4x4/softroaders. What are the octavia 4x4 and Audi/VW cars with quattro like ???? -
Citroen - Citroen engine 2.8 oil drained whilst driving 30 Nov 2011 (Forum)

Skoda Octavia - Tyre speed ratings and insurance 31 Oct 2011 (Forum)
H ratings are good to 130mph and the car he will have has a top speed of 119mph, so I dont see why not. Bear in mind that the 1.2Tsi S model has 195/65 R15H tyres as standard. Also will fitting a reinforced tyre (with a load rating of 95 vs 91) have any adverse effect on handling etc. Dont want to spec the 16 inch 55 profile wheels as comfort is a priority. -

Audi A4 - Audi A4 B5 Rear ABS ring 28 Jul 2011 (Forum)
Due to a stuck rear brake caliper the rear disc on the o/s of wife's 2000 (V reg) A4 1.9Tdi has become badly corroded. I've removed discs (the type with the bearing races pressed into the disc assembly ) and obtained new. The garage that I use for more difficult jobs advised me not to use the original ABS rings as they are only an interference fit on the disc and will almost certainly be loose on the new disc and cause the ABS to malfunction.
