  ive seen on other motoring fora a tendency to reset the cars ECU when rough running is present....i think the proceedure is to disconnect the battery for 5 mins put the ignition in the on position,then off and then re connect the battery...then the ECU re learns all the settings and timing etc etc

  I have a Peugeot XTB 1.6 1999 modell . Does anybody know which OBD version the ECU is using for this model? (OBDII or earlier..) The plug is J1962 , but a OBDII/EOBD reader I tried ,could not communicate with the ECU , so maybe the french has got their own protocols for pre 2000 modells, does

  Can anyone tell me if a 2001 306 hdi would have an ecu that learns the drivers style? I was wondering whether it is possible to increase mpg by 'resetting' the ecu? I have just replaced the throttle position sensor too so would it learn about how the car is driven over time or is there a way
