  Fortunately I could open the car using the plastic spare key on the trunck door. The situation now is that the drivers door opens and close, the car runs using the plastic key, but the main key remains trapped into the door. How can I take the whole lock off the door and then take the key of? Thanks in advance Patricio

  When the car is at a standstill and in neutral the idle speed willl suddenly drop from its normal idle speed, judder and then rev up to approx 1000rpm and back to normal again. It does not seem to matter whether the car is cold or at normal running temperature. does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

  The car is high miliage (nearly 130k) and its the 3 cyl 1.0L engine and it gets very regualr oil changes. No smoke. Does anyone have any experience of this? Could it just be hydraulic tappets running for a second without oil or is it something more serious?

  hi all i have eml faults of p0130 p0135 p0135p i`ve had a new lanbda sensor and a new maf meter but still faults wont clear  also my car runs poor when cold(ok after about 5 mins) and my interior heating is not as hot as before i changed my radiator  now on my dash i get a reading of  ecn 000000 help

  hi the car has done 67000 k ,i found oil in the air intake rubber pipe ,is that normal ,its not alot and its not smoking when running or on start up . i had to replace the camshaft and was surprised the wear on it most of the buckets were badly worn or cracked .any advise would be good  is this normal or is it lack of servcing ,thanks ray .

  i  recently had a problem with my pug 306 (it wouldnt start), i changed wiring loom but that didnt solve the problem, i then got an open ecu which bypassed the immobilizer, the car now runs but  wont rev above 3000rpm. also sometimes when i turn the key on i get a horrible noise from the fuel filter housing. could it be a wire i missed out or something? any ideas would be very helpful..

  my van runs fine but sometimes the EDC light comes on i loose all power  the van then stops there is no warning this is going to happen it can be at roundabouts on junctions or even when i am just going down the road as soon as it happens if i remove the key an restart van it goes on as if nothing has happened  until it does it again !

  help i am loseing alot of water coolant have changed cap have replaced header tank only lose water when car running have had head gasket checked passed temp gauge never shows engine over heating but after an hour of driving when lift bonnet  you can hear water boiling and cannot take cap off for about 24 hours because of pressure

  I have just bought a 2002 Vito Traveliner with a high milage 110 CDI engine. The engine starts fine and seems to run fine overall and the van goes well however when starting from cold the engine won't settle on idle and the rpm bounces up and down a little? Any ideas? New to the Vito so any advice welcome! Cheers Mike

  Took the old Meggie out for a good run today. How interesting! But with a difference. I've had the lower radiator grille raped over for over a year now. But I thought I'd go the whole hog and tape over the entire grille and see how long it took for the coolant to completely heat soak.

  Removed and checked resistence should be 399 ohms, getting 388 which is not too far away cleaned clutch dust fom it & replaced it engine still not starting.Fuel pump runs whe ignition switched on, but no spark at plugs. No voltage at coil low voltage pin 2 when cranking. Could this still be crankshaft sensor? All help appreciated Iain

  Now warning light more frequent and sometimes going into limp home mode.  Car has been into main dealership in the past (this has been a long running problem) but no faults with accelerator have been logged. Also been to independent garage but fault not found.

  hi my audi a4 refuses to start, ive narrowed it down to a lack of fuel supply, ive checked the fuses which are fine, and the relay which doesn't look the best but clicks and buzzes when the ignition is turned on, but i have measured the current at the connector on the in tank pump and it is only 1.3volts at most, would this indicate the relay is broke? i trried running 12volts straight to the pump but it did nothing, i had expected it to pump some fuel, is the pump also dead? cheers chris

  hi ,my citroen picasso when starting from cold is lumpy and smoking ,not running on all 4 cylinders .once ive rev it a couple of times it clears and drives fine .the error code is p11351 .glow plug relay fault.can you tell me where the glow plugs are ,and is it them thats faulty or the relay.thanks ray.

  But when it's up to temperature and we try to re start it, it cranks over very lumpy (as if there is an engine mounting issue) and eventually starts. When it's running. it's fine. Performance is good too. Anyone come across this before?   Cheers guys / girls   Keith

  Hi can anyone help me when i start my car from cold it struggles to start and alot of blue smoke comes out, it struggles to rev up as well. After 5 minutes driving the smoke disappears and the car runs fine, but occasionally will cut out on me and i jump start the car when it does. Can anyone help?

  I recently returned for a long run that I have done several times.  On getting home I switched off the engine and heard bubbles and saw some steam. On checking under the bonnet all the hoses were fine but the expansion tank was blowing bubble in through the bottom hose and pushing out the coolant.
