Dashcam as CCTV 16 Jan 2023 (Forum)
There is a bit of fly tripping near where I live. I need to place a camera in my car and point to the problem area. I do have Yi Camera, which are great for indoor CCTV. I can't use it in the car, as it will not run off a USB power bank. Just wondering if I can use a car dash cam (powered by a power bank?) -

Speeding fine 30 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Could somebody tell me if I am correct in believing that if no camera signs are displayed and you are then caught on a mobile camera speeding, in my case 42 in a 30 limit, the photographic evidence cannot be used as it is in contravention of sections 7 and 55 of the data protection act, whereby a sign must be displayed if members of the public are likely to be photographed or recorded on video. -
M6 J18 - 19 & M62 J8 2 Aug 2001 (Forum)
I have just heard on the radio that the roadworks on the M6 have now been completed. I expect that the cameras that were there, will now be moved to the M62 very soon, so be careful. Jonathan PS I also heard that some major police bod, is pushing for speed cameras to be brightly coloured and not hidden. -

Suzuki GT380 - NPR cameras (on the Cat & Fiddle road) 16 Jul 2010 (Forum)
Apparently it's very important that we all have number-plate lettering the correct size, so that the NPR cameras can work properly. I assured them I was glad to be able to keep Cheshire Road Policing's numberplate measuring teams in gainful employment, especially on a sunny Sunday when I'm sure even the most hardened criminals want to take time off, kick back and have a beer and a barbecue. -
Rush hour chaos - People skipping lights/camera 21 Jun 2009 (Forum)
It is amazing how people can blatently skip lights when there is a red light camera installed on them, yet we have people on her getting worried because they went through on amber and there is a little box on the lights (e.g flow monitors). With the advice on people on here I now have a policy that green can only mean amber which means stop. -

Who was driving Speed Cameras 3 Dec 2001 (Forum)
Clearly the police and government know that this goes on and perhaps other similar ?scam?s, but they do nothing about it. Does this not prove that speed cameras are used mainly for generating revenue and have little to do with road safety? Tom -
Speed cameras 31 Jan 2001 (Forum)
Having just received my first ticket of the year here in Germany(5km over the limit ) it made me wonder about Gasco cameras in the UK.In mainland Europe speed cameras take the front of the vehicle which includes a excellent quality picture of the driver. If the driver is not the owner then you must divulge the driver name if you do not want to pay the fine (there are no points for small over the limit offences).
