Drivers and now the police over here in France are fed-up with the blatant profiteering and revenue raising by the government with their radars. €700,000,000 last year.

Oh -Sorry, I got onto this from a story on a UK online magazine have a look here:-

I asked them where they got the story from and they qouted the French site as their source.

I wonder how they got to view the video?

Vive la France! Captain Gatso has become a Gendarme. Thats the thing I admire about the French, if they don't like like it they do something and are not cowed by the authorities. Totally un British of course. I had a few long chats with a Frenchchap on holiday and their attitude to things official is much more militant than ours.....but there again he lives in England..............................

You cant help but admire them.

I heard recently Peugeout are unoffically giving free no quibble fixes to their known 308 gear box/clutch master cylinder failure in france, yet in the UK you have to fight for so much as a good will gesture, and even then not everyone gets a good will gesture desipte it being a renowned problem with the car.

In my own experience the french police were ok. They inspected my documents and didn't fine me.

The British media like to paint them as corrupt foreigners one step above the mafia.

So encore "Vive La France"!
