    Bargains were: a 31k mile 07 reg Peugeot 207 1.6THP 150 GT, complete with full size spare wheel, sold for £6,000 v/s trade book of £7,050; a facelift 108k mile 2006/56 Mercedes E220CDI Elegance, sold for £9,050, v/s mileage adjusted trade book of £10,075; and a 49k mile 07 reg R56 MINI One 1.4 Salt with alloys and Union Jack roof sold for £6,600 v/s mileage adjusted trade book of £8,075.

  Cars Not Getting Any Cheaper At Auction Today 13 Nov 2009 (News)
  The frankly scruffy 2005/55 Focus 1.6TDCI 110 in the photo with 88k miles sold for £3,100. A 93k mile 2005/55 Peugeot 407 1.6HDI 110 S went for £2,650. A 2005/55 E91 BMW 320D ES Touring with 112k miles was £6,600. Even a 2005/55 Lexus RX 400h hybrid with 96k miles was quietly driven away for £12,300.

  BMW’s shares have today dropped by a startling nine percent, while Daimler, Fiat, Peugeot and Renault have all seen their share values drop by between four and seven per cent, as the scandal deepens.   The emissions scandal is already shaping into the biggest crisis that the automotive industry has ever faced, with suspicion placed on every major car manufacturer.

  JD Power names Skoda ‘most dependable’ brand 7 Aug 2015 (News)
  BMW is the worst ranked premium manufacturer, and third-bottom overall with 196 problems. In contrast, Mercedes-Benz tops the premium charts, with 88 problems. SEAT and Peugeot both have 99 problems – and a glitch is one. Probably anyway, because JD Power found that five of the top 11 problems relate to technology – audio, communication, entertainment and navigation, that is.

  The 1987E in white has just 59,000 miles and has been converted to automatic transmission that might be a bit easier on the vulnerable rear axle. Each were estimated at £4,500-£5,500. Neither of the Capri 2.8is were sold. Peugeot 205GTIs had been rising rapidly and though this 1991J 1.9 has a sunroof, which makes it less desirable for track days, it’s still a fun drive and we thought likely to appreciate. Estimated £3,000 - £4,000.

  Classic cars: why we need clarity 9 Apr 2013 (News)
  A recent online discussion about old cars, the tag ‘classic’ was applied to a car I was discussing; more specifically, that the motor in question, a Peugeot 205 Gentry was ‘not a classic’. Considering I never said it was – but actually think these cars are quite special – I was more than a little puzzled. It did get me thinking – once again – about the whole tagging situation, and old cars in general.
