Ford Mondeo TDCI - DPF and Service Oil Warning advice 9 Oct 2012 (Forum)
Can anyone confirm or clarify this? Also the garage then tried to dismiss my concern on the basis that the DPF Fluid has to be changed at the 2 year service. My belief is that this is nonsense. Some DPF's have fluid, but it shouldn't be changed until at least 37500 miles anyway. My belief is that this engine's DPF doesn't have fluid, but injects Diesel into the oil/exhaust (I'm not claiming to be an expert!) -

Mazda 3 2008 - Service interval reset. DPF lamp flashing. 18 Mar 2014 (Forum)
I am not responsible for you wrecking you car because your not an authorised Mazda Technician ! Here's how I did it :- IMPORTANT: If the DPF light is up, but solid, it does NOT need this proceedure, it needs the DPF regenerating, and if that doesn't work, the DPF replacing ( or deleting ? !) 1) Locate the 6 pin service commector under the bonnet. -

Vauxhall movano 2.3 - Short journey for diesels DPF etc 16 Aug 2020 (Forum)
If I also use it for trips to the supermarket and driving around town (maybe 2k miles per year) will this cause any diesel/dpf issues over the long term or will the 4x 90mile journeys per week be enough to not make the short journeys have any negative effect? I was thinking about buying an old small petrol (yaris) for the short journeys but with the extra cost for the car / tax and insurance I'm not sure it's woth it for just a few thousand miles per year. -
2007 Honda Civic 2.2 CTDI - radio reception intermittent, any DPF? DAB maybe? 17 Jun 2018 (Forum)
Some say its built into rear screen, others say its a stand alone unit, though i can't see one! Also, do these have a DPF? The owners manual suggests they do, but its very generic. From what i understand, they do not, until the 2011 model, any ideas? Also is a DAB setup hard as a DIY job? Cheers -

kia spprtage 1.7 crdi diesel - Will short journeys from col damage diesel engine 2 Dec 2014 (Forum)
I do lots of short journeys of 2 miles from cold urban then a longer 50 miles of mixed conditions approx every 3 weeks. Aside from dpf possible clogging but by all means air your views on that, would these short journeys damage the diesel engine anyway without a dpf. Not thinking of removing dpf by the way! It would obviously help my son's finances if I took the diesel car off him. -
Diesels - DPFs When will the EC leave us alone! 11 May 2014 (Forum)
Noticed an article in yesterday's Sunday Times linking into a company who profess to remove the DPF from your car and then reseal the exhaust, leaving it inperceptable to MOT test engineers. Spoke to a local German car specialist who says no such thing they can tell straight away and fail the car. -
Ford focus1.6 tdci sport (2007) - 1.6 tdci sport (2007) DPF, Turbo and EGR problems 31 Dec 2013 (Forum)
I have a focus 1.6 tdci sport (2007) and have heard a lot about turbo, dpf and egr failiures, should i be concerned, Ive not had any such problems with my car so for since I bought it in November this year. Is it best to go for a 1.6 petrol one than keeping the tdci until problems start arising, already Ive had to replace the fuel pump which had a broken seal and now Ive noticed the water is also dripping around the same area just below the fuel pump from a silver metal pipe junction. -
Mazda 6 - Mazda 6 dbf problems 30 Oct 2013 (Forum)
Went out to my car last week to go to work switched it on and a light was flashing. Got the maunual out had a look and it was the dpf light which I knew nothing about. I got into work and started googling DPF and found out it was quite a common problem which I was a bit relieved by. So the next thing i started googling was where I could get it fixed.
