  Just looked on the "Everylttlehelps" website and found an insignia, 2008/58. 32000 miles at what looked a reasonable price, but then read the terms and conditions, last service at 23000 :LAST feb, So called out of  curiosity One month RAC premium warranty, what about soga? Oh, you can extend the warranty but all breakdown costs excluded.. and will the car be serviced at a main dealer before delivery, we'll find out and let you know.. OK. I'll think about it, And in one of the dailys they are alledgedly selling 2000+ vehicles a a month. You can't see the car till you have bought it... and i would never do that for a 3 yr old car, (will risk it for a 6 month old still under warranty.. but not from a "retail trade sales".

  Just wondering - does any volume car manufacturer still produce a model with an overhead valve engine? Poverty-spec models and old Rover V8s spring to mind...

  Our six month old puppy gets terrible motion sickness in the car. Anybody got any hints? She travels in the rear of a Passat estate in a cage covered by a sheet. She drools uncontrollably and looks very wobbly and unhappy.

    I thought of the Lupo GTi as it seems to be a shrunken version of my old A3, but those cars are 10-15 years old now, and I'm sure that there are more modern equivalents which are out there.   Presumably a small diesel is out of the running due to the high proportion of short journeys we do.

  That car is an old (sub £1000) V6 Vauxhall that replaced my old 2 litre Omega. The petrol costs are not really that high as I only do about 5000 miles per annum. I pointed this out and the fact that his car had already lost around £5000 in its first year.

  Of course all that is forgotten about these days with modern cars, but i was reminded of it reading a forum on LDV (old post office) vans. They were aware of Shap and it reminded me of old times. So i guess i`m quite contented with little, in terms of power in modern cars.

  Due to the fact our baby is only 5 months old, she must be in a rear facing seat, Group 0 I think. I have seen seats that are Group 0+1, they go from birth to about 4 years old. They fit in the car facing towards the rear until about a year, then you turn the chair around and it becomes a forward facing seat.

  Does anyone know whether a 4 year old Focus has a warning light (or possibly audible warning) for front pad wear? Reason for asking is that my Sister-in-Law's car failed it's MOT allegedly for worn front brake pads. The Ford dealer insisted that the pads would need replacing for the car to pass the MOT.

  I love the new Mini - it looks cute, is well built, well engineered, fun to drive (not blindingly fast but the old one wasn't either), keenly priced, should be reliable, reasonably practical ... You may recall how he bought mine for himself and then decided he preferred his old one, so handed the newer one to me. Anyway, that leaves me without a car, obviously, as I don't want his old Forester either for the same reasons that mine is a far better spec. So, what should I get.
