  hi my vauxhall vectra c dti on 03 plate is using a lot of diesel , i put £10 of diesel in and only got about 51 miles some town driving , have had new head and all gaskets , glowplugs and cleaned egr valve and inlet manifold , do not know what else to try any body got any ideas thanks

  Its it normal to be getting bad condensation inside the car on a cold night or a rainy night? Its a brand new car and i didn't expect this to be happening. I can clear the windows drive a 2minute journey to a shop and come out an hour later and have to clear the windows all over again

  when i start my car in a morning or when it's been stood quite a few hours, It starts fine when I take the handbrake off the car won't move unless I give it a few extra revs then it makes a clunking noise from the rear and then sets off and drives as normal. what can this be?

  My Dad's 2013 Skoda Fabia needs a new clutch after only 700miles and Skoda dealer says it is wear and tear so not covered by warranty , is it possible to burn out a clutch in just 700miles no matter how bad the driver though my Dad does not ride his clutch and does mostly motorway driving so not much gear changing

  ....you feel stupid asking :(   On a front wheel drive car - Hyundai Getz for example : When spinning the front wheel to carry out a basic check on the wheel bearings. How do you distinguish between the noise the bearing is making and the noise made from the inboard transmission ?

  I have 2008 mazda 6 sport,I have a problem with the boot opening by itself when i am driving or parked. has anybody else had this problem, As the dealer says they have not had this problem before, they are going to replace the lock first, to see if this corrects the problem,any ideas???

  HI ALL, MY CAR CUT OUT WHILE DRIVING AND EVERYTHING WENT DEAD. NO IGNITION LIGHTS NOTHING, THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT THE BATTERY IS IN THE BOOT AND I CANT OPEN THE BOOT, IT HAS NO BOOT LOCK AS I HAVE ALWAYS OPENED IT WITH THE KEY FOB.

  I think it's a great car for the money and I don't know why a lot of younger people are afraid of bigger cars. However I'm just wondering if anyone knows of other young people who drive an S60 or something similar - it would be interesting to find out!

  Hi, whilst driving in to work today, my 'VSA' light, warning triangle and engine light came on.  I have been told it could be the modulator. Has any body faced this issue?  Was wondering if it could be anything else and what to check for as Honda are quoting £900 just for the part and then £200 labour.

  when i start my car it will idle at 5000 rpm approx and when i try to rev it ,it will go up to about 9000-10000 then cut out after about 4-5 attemps it will eventually rev but reluctantly but when i drive off it will seem to shudder and sometimes cut out ??? also no lights on dash any ideas ???

  hi, i recently purchased a ford mondeo 2.0 zetec(2001),i put in £40 of petrol,and that lasted me 195 miles before it ran out completely,i drive sensible so dont speed about,most of the miles are local,wat sort of miles should i be getting and do i have a possible fault.thankyou.

  In the good old days (1980s) I used to drive Vauxhalls and the centre face vent was connected to the outside air. I could have toasty warm feet, demisted windscreen and cold air to breathe and keep me awake. Climate control, air con etc are all wonderful and I would not be without them but why is there no new car that can give fresh, external air, when the heaters etc are on?

  I remember watching a TV program years ago about a motorway crash, but the only part of it I can remember is where they take a lad to scrapyard to see the shell of the car he was driving. A long shot I know but can anyone remember what it was called? I don't think it was a 'clip' show, it was all about this one crash caused by fog (I believe)

  I am not sure I would take money out of an ISA and buy a classic car with it though, as is suggested in the article!  I'd want to drive it, not bung it in a shed and wax it once in a blue moon.  Maybe Avant's accountancy genius can shed some light upon this?   (Also, as an aside - where is unthrottled?)

  hi.i have problem with my abs light on the dashboard,am sure this is electrical fault as the light goes on and off ,when i rev it goes of then comes back on,sometimes disapear for few hours while driving where can i find earth points for dashboard and abs unit? many thanks Eric

  I cannot afford to have this car off the road for weeks again this winter because the rear wheel drive doesn't function at all in snow / ice. I would be grateful for advice or information on my options, including fitting winter tyres. Exactly how practical and costly will it be - is it worth it - or do I sell the car within the next couple of months?
