Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Suzuki announces new 140PS turbo petrol engine in Vitara 15 Sep 2015 (News)
The Vitara S 1.4T develops 140PS and 220Nm torque from 1,500 to 4,000rpm. It has 4 wheel drive, a 6-speed manual transmission and managed 52.3mph combined and 127g/km CO2 in ECDC tests. Top speed is 120mph. -

Unimog: Behind The Wheel 13 May 2013 (News)
The Unimog dates back to just after the Second World War and was first designed as an all-wheel drive agricultural vehicle with a power take-off so that it could run equipment such as saws or harvesting machines. The original designs date back to late 1945 and were by penned by Albert Friedrich who had previously been Head of Aeroengine Design at Daimler-Benz. -

In 2001, MG Rover had launched the ZS - a sports saloon based on the 45 and recognised as one of the best-handling front-wheel-drive cars ever made. It was a testimony to the company’s chassis engineers that they’d achieved this with no budget. With no beans to count, the bean counters realised that MGR was fitting two different suspension set-ups to the HHR (as the 45/ZS was known internally) so insisted that one set up went in the bin. -
Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion previews electric estate car 20 Nov 2019 (News)
It uses a 82kWh lithium-ion battery to power a 205kW (279PS) electric motor located on the rear axle. There's also a four-wheel-drive version, with an extra 75kW electirc motor on the front axle to produce a combined 340PS. Volkswagen says the concept car will reach 62mph in 5.4 seconds when all-wheel drive is specified. Maximum speed is limited to 109mph. -

Comedy legend Eric Morecambe’s Jensen Interceptor up for auction at NEC motor show 1 Nov 2017 (News)
After Morecambe’s first heart attack just two months later, the Jensen became famous in its own right as Morcambe recounted the story of how Yorkshireman Walter Butterworth jumped into the driving seat late one evening to drive him to Leeds Infirmary, saving his life. It was during a television interview with Michael Parkinson in 1973 when Eric was telling the story of his rescue in the Jensen that the current owner, a then young Nick Whale, heard his father note, 'That Jensen would be a great car to own one day.' -
Skoda Octavia vRS (2001-2005) 19 Jun 2016 (News)
Compared to the later Octavia vRS it is a little soft in corners but out of all the models here, this was the most fun to drive, which makes it a real bargain as a used car. You can get a decent one for around £2500 which is certainly a lot of car for the money and even though the one we drove had a fair few miles on the clock, it felt like it had plenty more life left in it. -
