  If the timing chain needs replacing then you’ll pay around £700 to have it replaced.  Brake discs and pads replacement on the front axle will cost you £250 fitted, rear pads around £100. A new water pump will cost around £200 fitted, an alternator around £340 and should the cylinder head gasket be needing replacing then it’ll be a bill in the region of £1000.

  Ensure this has been carried out, the owner should have paperwork to back it up.  A further recall was made for the Vivaro’s parking brake, for vans built between June 2018 and August 2018. Other recalls relate to the EGR pipe, airbags, seat fitment, brakes and suspension. Check with the DVSA, or Vauxhall if any remedial work has been done, or is required.  It might have had a number of recalls, but the Vivaro has always ranked highly in fleet reliability surveys, underlining the work Vauxhall undertook to improve it when it arrived in 2014.

It can also change colours - for example, green for a fully-charged battery or red for braking prompts. A production version of the ID Space Vizzion concept is expected to follow in 2022.

  .   If it's solid here, then the only other common MoT fail points are CV joints (they all do that, sir...) and consumable parts such as brakes, tyres, bushes and dampers. There are no corrosion advisories in the MoT history, so chances are it's a good 'un.  At £695, we don't reckon this will hang around for long.

  It has a small rear spoiler, a chrome squared off exhaust, different bumpers and unique alloy wheels complete with green painted brake callipers. As a result it’s a bit of a Q-car – unassuming to look at but pretty potent under the bonnet. Inside there are some neat touches like the vRS sports seats with their light grey inserts, which subsequently became a trademark look for Skoda’s sporty models, along with special instrument dials plus a perforated leather gear lever and steering wheel.
