XKs raise £50,000 for charity 7 Jul 2017 (News)
Jaguar fans have raised more than £50,000 for charity. The Jaguar XK Club round Britain costal tour saw more than 100 cars take part in an 18-day 4000-mile trip to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. The event was run for the first time last September by the Jaguar E-type Club, the event raised £64,000. -
Covers come off ‘Reborn’ Range Rover 2 Feb 2017 (News)
The new scheme gives enthusiasts the chance to purchase a vehicle that’s been fully restored at the iconic Solihull factory by Land Rover Classic. The car, a 1978 Classic Range Rover, is finished in Bahama Gold and fitted with a 3528cc V8 mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. It will be showcased at France’s biggest classic car show from 8-12 February. -

World record for Porsche 550 12 Sep 2016 (News)
An original 1956 Porsche 550 Spyder was a runaway success at Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale. The car made £4,593,500 - a new world record for a Porsche 550 model – when it went under the hammer on 10 September. The car was part of Bonham’s £14.5 million Goodwood sale, said James Knight, Bonhams International Group Motoring Director. -

People's Choice winner Richard Gill and son, Lewis, with Beaulieu MD Russell Bowman Winner of the People’s Choice award was Richard Gill, from Newark, with his stunning 1990 911. Richard, who bought the car in 2014, had it rebuilt to his dream specification, sourcing parts from as far afield as Canada and Germany. This was the first show the car had been to following its rebuild, with only a faulty starter motor causing trouble on the day. -

Appearing at public auction for the first time, the genuine two-owner car is in original order and is estimated to fetch in the region of £450,000, some 100 times greater than the original recommended retail price of the car at the time of its launch, of £4,562*. -
