Hyundai offers £5000 off a new car with scrappage scheme 29 Aug 2017 (News)
The most polluting vehicles, those with Euro 1-3 emissions standard, will be scrapped - while owners of a Euro 4 model can trade-in their vehicle for any model across the Hyundai range. BMW 'scrappage scheme' to offer £2000 for older diesels 7 Aug 2017 (News)
The replacement must be a BMW i3 , a plug-in hybrid or a Euro 6 vehicle with CO2 emissions of up to 130g/km. The scheme will initially run until 31 December 2017. It is set to be launched in August as part of BMW's recently announced 'EU-wide fleet-renewal campaign' - whatever that means. Continuing with their theme of confusing terminology, BMW is calling the discount an 'environmental bonus' of up to £2000 when you trade-in your old banger for a new BMW or MINI. -
XKs raise £50,000 for charity 7 Jul 2017 (News)
The Jaguar XK Club round Britain costal tour saw more than 100 cars take part in an 18-day 4000-mile trip to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. The event was run for the first time last September by the Jaguar E-type Club, the event raised £64,000. Those funds helped a man, who was given just months to live, have experimental new treatment and who is now recovering from the disease. -

Ex-press Lotus Esprit Turbo heads to auction 31 May 2016 (News)

Classic car world record attempt put on hold 1 Jun 2015 (News)
The event, which was organised by Coventry Transport Museum and Footman James, with support from Jaguar Heritage and the RICOH Arena, will now take place later in the year. Gary Hall, chief executive of Culture Coventry, the trust which runs Coventry Transport Museum, said a new date would be set once the target had been met. 'In just a few weeks we have managed to attract well over half of the total number of vehicles needed. 'This shows that there is a real appetite to bring this record back to the UK, and to the spiritual home of the British Motor Industry. -
