Chrysler Voyager Electrics 28 Mar 2006 (Forum)
The thing has been plagued with heating/ electrical problems. 3 trips back to the garage so far and now the heater blower has stopped working and its not the fuse. Question: Are these cars renowned for poor electrics or are we just unlucky? Are the newer models (with stow and go) any better? We love the car but this is putting us off purchasing another one when the time comes to trade it in. -- \" Keep doing the same old thing, youll get the same old thing, try something different today! -
How best to sell Saab 900 18 Mar 2004 (Forum)
She is getting a Renault Scenic and it seems that she has been offered £1500 as PX. I realise that the car is 7 years old but isn't £1500 a little on the light side? I can understand that the dealer doesn't really want a car this old (in years rather than mileage) but if it is a little too cheap how else can she sell? -
Nissan Almera for £7250??? 16 Sep 2003 (Forum)
I was thinking about downsizing from my BMW 330 to a new Clio or something nondescript. Now I see I can have a Nissan Almera Pulse with cd and aircon for £7250! My brother bought an old 100k Nissan Sunny once as a stop gap car. It had well over a 100k miles. In the year he had it it never broke down. returned 40 mpg and was sold with another 30k miles on it at a profit! The car still lives three years later with over 200k on it. -

Passat Groans 28 Jul 2002 (Forum)
I've recently purchased a year old Passat 1.8T SE. I decided on this car after losing so much money on my previous Mondeo. I am very satisfied with the car but with one exception. The Dashboard groans and creaks with every imperfection in the road and around every bend. -
OMEGA HOW BAD 20 Jan 2002 (Forum)
I have owned a '92 Granada Scorpio 2.9i 24v for about 5 years now. I still love the car, runs well, and plenty of power when I want it. My problem is that to be honest its looking now like an old farmers run about, the back arches are scabby, and the paintwork dull. Only have about £7k to spend, considering the old Scorpio is worth about nothing now. -

Avensis D-4D Diesel - Opinions/ please ! 9 Sep 2006 (Forum)
Which insurer have you got and how much did they increase your premium (assuming you told them.......) ? Can anyone give an idea of high-mileage longevity of the engine and rest of the car - what's the oil consumption like as mileage increases, and what engine, or other problems have needed sorting ? My experience of the old corolla at 110,000 miles and 12yrs old is so far only ever wear/tear bits , always passs MOT, and touch wood never let me down. -
Value of Old Escort 16 May 2005 (Forum)
Hi, A good friend of mine is changing his car on Saturday. He is changing from a '94M 30k mile (yes thirty!) 1.6 Escort Mistral to a two year old Mini ONE. He has been offered £200 token part-ex for his Escort as part of the deal, however i can't help thinking that this is a woefully low offer, and the dealer doesn't really want the car anyway. -
Two car family, new & old 9 Jul 2004 (Forum)
It is difficult to put into words but it is such an involved driving experience. Going along the motorway at 70mph you are aware that your car doesnt have ABS like all the big boys about you and you take that into account, in a city centre you can nip into gaps and park where others can't, being 7 years old with its fair share of dents and dings you don't need to be that careful about parking scrapes etc. -

Volvo 440/460 - cold starting all ok again... 28 Nov 2012 (Forum)
Had proved it was the ECT as bought a new one (~£20) and then on a cold day, tried starting car, not happy. So unplugged old sensor and plugged in the new one, with the sensor dangling in the engine bay. Car started first turn of key. Reconnected old sensor, car won't start. So this morning armed with a couple of deep metric sockets (21 & 19mm) I removed old sensor, put finger over aperture to prevent coolant loss then screwed in new sensor. -
Vauxhall Astra Club, Automatic, 56 plate - Failing gear box, old recall?? Coolant in gear box 9 Jan 2012 (Forum)
Found out today (by chance) about the old recall regarding coolant getting in the gear box; a Vauxhall garage confirmed that my car went in for the recall work in 2009 but chap commented that they would not know exactly what work was done, ie was radiator changed etc. -
Help. 5 Nov 2002 (Forum)
I have a BMW 5 series 96 old model, and when I bought the car it had nasty metric wheels, so I contacted the local BMW dealer to get some new alloy wheels. Now I know that the old shape 5 (known as e34) has very slightly smaller wheel hubs than the newer shape (known as e39).
