Instant economy! 27 May 2003 (Forum)
The mileometer is currently on 341 and the fuel warning light has yet to come on. Just how was this fantastic improvement achieved? I turned the air con off. -
Best turbo diesel car for under £5k? 8 May 2003 (Forum)
With a budget of £5000, I want (obviously) an economical car, but at the same time a fun car - decent acceleration and a nice chassis. Comfort and safety are important too, so I want dual airbags, air con and abs. In fact, any feature beginning with A would be good! Oh and I don't want a 'birds' car. C'mon people, you know what I'm talking about. Any ideas? I don't want much, do I? -
Citroen Xsara HDi Coupe 17 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Hi, I've been offered a brand new Xsara Coupe HDi for £9,600 and wondered if its a good deal? Its fully loaded - Air-con, 6 CD, Cruise Control (I think), alloys etc. I've been told that it has an 80bhp engine, although when I checked on the Citroen site, it indicates that it has the Peugeot 110bhp engine. Can anyone confirm the existence of a 1.9HDi 80bhp and also let me know you rate the 110bhp? -
BMW E46 wire broken in arch liner 24 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I thought maybe it was for front fogs or something else around the front of the car. Nothing seemed to be malfunctioning but as the sun came out one lovely day I discovered that my air-con does not work. It makes noises like it is working but there is absolutely no cold air coming out, it is at ambient temperature. I know it is a bit of a strange request but any help would be welcome. -
Renault Scenic Climate Control 17 Jun 2006 (Forum)
Hi, I have a scenice Mark1 Phase 2 (2002 02 plate). It is fitted with climate control air con. (Digital reading)I am use to Fords and Vauxhalls. The interior fan gets quicker as the speed is turned up but very little air flow comes out of the vents, even on full power. Equivalent to 1 or 2 on Vauxhall. -

Ford Mondeo IV (2007 - ) - Booking a service, do I take the "extras"? 15 Feb 2010 (Forum)
http://tinyurl.com/ycn7pwy Looks like the service is £175 (I am assuming that the first 12 month service is an interim service), but on the form there are 4 items that they claim are "Ford recommendations", specifically: * Air con treatment * Pollen filter replacement * Oil-top up * Brake fluid change Elsewhere on the page there are prices for the pollen filter (£39.99), the air con treatment (£29.99) and the brake fluid change (£55). -

Vx Omega - how do u switch auto box on? 7 Aug 2004 (Forum)
Hi, having taken my car to be inspected for it's faulty air con unit(bolt had snapped off) causing a new non air con fan belt to be fitted I was faced with another problem. On lifting the bonnet, the oil cap had come loose and the top of the engine block covered in oil. -
Air conditioner servicing 4 Jun 2001 (Forum)
Our dealership has recently become an Air conditioning service centre. I was fairly sceptical about the viability of this but having run for a couple of months, I can now see the benefits. Air con is a creature comfort, taken for granted as long as it works. -
The search is over - Korando 13 Aug 2024 (Forum)
I was offered a pre-reg MG HS by a local dealer for £19995 (outgoing model) still in the showroom. One look at the touchscreen controls for air con made it a definite no, especially after the previous experience. Suzuki too low rent and seats no good for swmbo,. .Hyundai too low, and interior not a patch on the Korando We'll take the risk and the venga 2011 seats are actually better than the other 2 comfort wise. -
N/a - Reflective window film 8 Apr 2023 (Forum)
I want to keep my car cool in the sun for driving with animals on board during the summer (the air con doesn't work and winding the windows isn't always enough) I have some reflective one way window film left over from a project (not marketed for car use) and wondered if it would be safe to apply this inside the rear window to reflect the sun? -

Hello A friend has just aquired a 2007 hyundai coupe. The interior switches illuminate blue. Does anyone know if the 5 switches that operate the air con, heated screen rear heated screen and recirculation buttons ( there are 5 in total) at the bottom of the centre console should all light up blue as at the moment only the centre button which is the rear defog button lights up blue, we are not sure if this is a fault or they are all like this. -

FIAT Punto - Fiat Punto Mk2 interior fan problem 17 Jul 2011 (Forum)
Is this a fan problem or a problem with the position dial, i am wondering if there is a blockage somewhere..if I select feet, face, screeen and so on..there is flow but very, very little. It is the air con model...that definitely needs a regas or it is knackered. Thanks -
Renault Laguna III - Loose conection? 28 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Bought a 51 plate Laguna 2 days ago. Only thing I can find wrong is the light that lights up the display for the fan/air con etc looks like it may have a loose conection. When the panel is pressed hard the light will show for a second then go off again. Before I start trying to into the back of it and break something, does this sound like an easy thing to fix? -
