• Renault Trafic - Is this a clutch prob 17 Mar 2006 (Forum)
  Hi, My 1991 Renault Trafic 2.1 diesel camper van may have a problem. When starting journeys, the van judders in first gear. After a few minutes of driving. it's okay. Is this a clutch problem. As mentioned, it only does it at start of journeys then is fine. Could it be that it just needs to get "warmed up" first ???

  When I start up my mazda 6 (TS2 54 reg), and particularly turning the wheel in the early stages of driving, it makes a whining sound as if the power steering pump is labouring seriously, particularly when manoeuvering out of parking spaces. Is this likely to be just a case of topping up steering fluid, or something more critical?

  Just had mine re-done after far too long and got some nice tinted driving glasses. I can't believe the improvement in peripheral vision, how I notice things more and of course the longer view is sharper and less fuzzy. As of last week I am definitely a safer driver! Recommended.

  hi all the engine management light came on the other day on the motorway and car went into limp home mode but when i turned off the ignition and the restarted it the light went out have just checked the code (0335) and it says crank sensor where is it and what do i need to do about it the car drives ok now

  are bmw over engineered to much they seem to brag about ther engines and there build quality i think lexus are better cars better built and the engines are bullet proof i heard that they use mineral oil in some of there cars is vvti better than bmws valvetronic or both just as good anyone everdriven a lexus or owned one are they superb to drive

  i was very fortunate to have a drive of my friends supercharged xjr jaguar. have never driven a automatic before i was amazed how smooth the gear change was and how refined and smooth it was. my friend told me they have gm or mercedes benz auto boxes to handle the power and torque. one of the best cars i have ever driven.

  Hi Going to buy a car from car supermarket this weekend-car being provided with MOT. Insurance company says will fax me cover note to drive car back(80 miles to home). What about ROAD TAX?? The Post Office will not accept faxed copy of cover note to issue road tax disc........ What should I do??

  A friend recently wanted a new number plate for his Landrover trailor. He went to a parts company with the log book but was told that he needed a photo driving licence, or a passport. As he did not have either, they said that a utility bill would do. I thought a log book was the only thing that was necessary. Can anybody clear this up please?

  when driving in my volvo s60 auto when the gear flicks from 2 to 3 there is a loss of power for about a second and the revs go up high, like the car is in neutral and the pedal is bieng pressed, the revs go upto like the 3 mark on the counter is this gonna become a problem or should i not worry?

  When the gearbox changes up through the gears I can hear (from the nearside of the car) a metallic scrapy type nise. what is this. should I be worried? There is no problem in the gear change or drive. Should I just close the nearside widow and forget it? Help please.

  Surely once you have 3 or 6 points from speed cameras ( for like 34mph in a 30 limit ....) you are a safer driver than before? Because you'll drive a bit more carefully, So why the extra insurance premium? Are there any insurance companies out there targeting this market? I for one would be most interested.

  I had the misfortune over Christmas to drive along what used to be called the A140 which is the main road between Ipswich and Norwich and was apalled at the attempts to turn it back into a cart track.Speed limits of down to 30 mph and 50mph limits on a dual carrigeway.who is responsible for setting these ridculous limits, I know the road passes close to houses but the road was there first!!

  Is it just me or am I seeing a lot of people driving around recently with no lights on at all. I'm not talking no side lights at about 4-5pm, I'm talking dipped headlights at about 7pm onwards. I've seen two of them in the past 2 weeks traveling "travelling incognito" in dark coloured cars

  Would it be legal to drive my van ( http://www.coolmuledesign.co.uk/lt28/ ) without the black bumpers? I want to remove them and also some of the red circled bits in the pic too although I think I have to leave one set. Anyone know for sure what the law says about this?

  I am desperatley trying to locate a speedometer drive housing for my 1995 306 n/a diesel gearbox. I need to find out what other gearboxes will use the same fitment. Am I right in that my gearbox is BE3? If so will the housing off a 205 / 309 gearbox fit??

  early next week need to purchase a small run around for a friend with no more than 2 grabd to spend. must have power steering and central locking. and easy to park/drive. small is good. a mid mileage y plate new shape corsa 1.0 gls? im at brigehouse on monday anyhow to pick up a car for a client, probably try and buy one then.
