Citroen Synergie - Darcy Kitchin

I have a '96 Synergie 1.9 diesel which the whole family loves as long as they don't have to drive. We can live with the handling, but it could do with much more power (why didn't citroen fit the 12-valve turbo-diesel from the XM?). We will be keeping it for a while yet.
Anyone any ideas about tuning?

Citroen did fit the 2.1 to LHD Synergies. I've driven one. BVut new Synergies have the 110bhp 2.0HDI engione which is much better and more economical than the old 2.1 twelve valver.

I drive a Xantia (oh no!) with 2.0HDi (110hp), great engine, the rest of the vehicle leaves something to be desired
