]Features include: *          110 Bar Max Pressure *          360 litres per hour water flow rate *          1400 Watt  Universal Motor *          3m high pressure hose *          One Way Lance *          Detergent suction tube *          Foam Sprayer *          Standard Wash Brush *          Synthetic Chamois *          Wash & Wax Detergent Professor Tony Hindle of Lancaster Management School, an expert in salt corrosion, comments: "Damage to vehicles occurs when coatings of salt are left on the surfaces causing chemical reactions to re-start whenever these come into contact with moisture. This leads to car depreciation, increased vehicle maintenance and part replacement costs. However, there are useful actions that can be taken by car owners such as washing down and drying your car at the earliest opportunity and regular paintwork wax polishes which are both essential in avoiding corrosion."

"Thorough preparation of a car for the winter months can help to reduce the harmful effects of very low temperatures, road salt and increased grime, while also making intermittent cleaning easier," explains Autoglym's CEO, Paul Caller.

That’ll be much less on vehicles working in dusty or dirty areas, so check it regularly, as failure can lead to the need for a costly replacement engine. If the CV joints are worn, you’ll be looking at around £120 a side, again, with the nature of the off-road ability the Amarok offers it worth checking these regularly.

  • Toyota Gets Serious About Solar Power 5 Jul 2019 (News)
In addition to substantially boosting its power generation output, the demo car employs a system that charges the driving battery while the vehicle is parked, as well as when it’s being driven. This development is expected to lead to huge improvements in electric-powered cruising range and fuel efficiency. Toyota plans to conduct the trials in various driving conditions in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Tokyo and other areas.
  • Why 2019 could be the best time to buy a diesel 1 Feb 2019 (News)
This can be expensive to fix as it will need clearing out or even replacing - and simply removing the DPF isn't an option, as it's now required for the annual MoT test. DPFs aside, driving a diesel in town leads to toxic emissions such as NOx and particulate matter - the kind many councils are trying to cut down on in urban areas, hence low emission zones being introduced in some city centres. If most of your driving is on motorways, diesels return better fuel economy than petrols and the diesel particulate filter will be able to do its job properly.
  • 10 More Pride of Ownership finalists revealed for NEC 9 Oct 2018 (News)
'The car was originally used by the Luftwaffe in the 70s and still sports its original military markings which lead me to finding out it was a radar and artillery car at an airport in Germany near Munich. • Comment: Could the new MG be China's Datsun 240Z? 21 Apr 2017 (News)
It's fair to say that the MG renaissance under SAIC has been slow to get going, and while the MG3 hatchback is a reasonable enough (though by no means class-leading) supermini, the larger, now-defunct, MG6 was a bit of a damp squib. The new GS SUV has hardly set showrooms on fire, either. But here's the rub: that's exactly where Toyota, Datsun and Honda were in the late 1960s, and the British dealers and media didn't take them seriously, either.
  • Comment: Will electric vehicles ever become classic cars? 7 Feb 2017 (News)
Drivers, however, were not convinced. That left the new kids on the block - the petrol electric hybrids - to lead the charge. Early Toyota Prius models were drab and dumpy, while driving around in a Mk1 Honda Insight (complete with spats) saw drivers ridiculed by school kids all over the country.
  • Land Rover recreates 1948 Defender production line 10 Feb 2015 (News)
. ‘It has been a huge task to recreate a production line from almost 70 years ago, from sourcing original parts for the Series I models, to authentically re-creating the working environment and uniform of employees who were here.’ The company turned to one of the world’s leading Land Rover enthusiasts and restorers and curator of the famous Dunsfold Collection of historic Land Rovers, Phil Bashall, to help create the vehicles for the production line. Phil built his first Series I Land Rover at the age of 13, but admitted he was shocked when Land Rover told him of plans to build a full replica 1948 production line.
  • James Hunt's Hesketh under the hammer in Monaco 4 Feb 2014 (News)
After two seasons of racing in lower formula, Hesketh commissioned Harvey Postlethwaite to design and construct an all-new, bespoke car in which Hesketh’s lead driver, James Hunt, could contest the 1974 Formula 1 World Championship. Run on a budget, and powered by the same Cosworth DFV as pretty much all the UK-based teams, most commentators predicted slim results for the Hesketh 308 in its first season.
