  Unlike with passenger vehicles, there are no European Regulations on the installation of approved HID headlamps to motorcycles. This is partly because no agreement has been reached on how to implement automatic headlamp levelling and washers on motorcycles. Potentially this could allow an HID headlamp to be fitted to a motorcycle without automatic leveling or washers and we are aware of one manufacturer who has taken advantage of this and fitted an approved HID headlamp to a motorcycle.

  Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what might be the cause of this issue with my 2004 Getz (automatic), which normally runs very smoothly. After periods of not having driven the car for a few days, or when making shorter journeys of under 3 miles, when the engine stops, you can smell smoke and a burning clutch or oil-like smell coming through the vents.

  Other options are an MX-5 except I am not entirely sure it's my thing and later models are all manuals.  I believe they are very reliable though.     Both diesels, first was a 1.7TDI, the current one is a 1.6TDI MHEV. Both DSG Automatics. I have had a strange loss of power in both though - only once each and exactly the same place, within a mile of home, returning from a long trip (over 100 miles). There was plenty of fuel in the tank.

  You can see a transition from light to dark just ahead of an oncoming car as they constantly adjust. Beam patterns change automatically as road speed increases, motorways a longer, narrower beam, slightly slower A roads a wider beam pattern to illuminate verges. If you’re offered it as an option on a new car, I’d take it. Going back to my halogen lights will be a shock… I don’t have the Illumination Pack on this one - that offers infrared vision via a camera in the grille displayed on the dash, but it’d be useful if you lived in a more rural area.
