  Other "stars" who live in the area include: Mike Yarwood also was seen regularly in a Rolls. Michael Aspel drives a Merc and has lunch at the Swan on Manor Road almost daily. Cliff Richard can be spotted regularly driving thru town. Simply Red's Mick Hucknall has yet to be spotted in his car. Sir Geoff Hurst, and PR guru Max Clifford also live here.

  BTW I am not anti-police and am not interested in creating a knock-a-copper thread. If people knew that their erratic/careless driving would be scrutinised in the event of an RTA would they not drive with a bit more self awareness. (I think they call it accountability.) dan P.S. Reminds me of the accident related thread which had a post about a camcorder and an 8 hour video-recorder in the boot etc...A followup suggested this might a little paranoid.

  Hello  Does anyone know legal height limit for a side curb please.  I was leaving Drive through, and at the double wait mark on the road,  turning to the left,  damaged my car on the high curb.

  It's the drivers who don't know or chose to ignore the rules for use.  Same goes for all motorways. Drive on the left unless overtaking. White type vans exempt of course, and all vehicles governed to 56mph. In the 3rd lane.  Answers on a stamp please.

  I'd forgotten the pleasure of driving a 3 litre in-line six. Just so smooth and, because it is normally aspirated, the power builds so naturally. And manual too. It was, quite simply, heavenly. Sad to admit, these are engines that make my love of Italian cars seem misplaced...

  There are a few of these available, low mileage, couple of years old and lowish cost -about £10 to £12k for a 1l 125hp petrol. They tick some boxes: price, upright /higher driving position, space etc. Any views from the forum appreciated and is the auto any goood? Thanks

  Can't get out more than once a day and have to keep local....would be a nightmare if someone stole your pride and joy now. Except for the very odd shopping trip ours stay on the drive, never used so little fuel.

  my car will do an emergency stop at any time .it seems to see grass and stuff on side of road even shadows even uneven road ,I do not feel safe driving it vw garage say its ok It drops the speed from thirty to a near stop ,this is dangerous

  I do approx 20 miles per day, urban driving, would it be cost effective buying a Hybrid on finance, or just sticking with a small petrol car?  Are there any grants available for this? Thank you

  So tempting to say 'one'.... Seriously though, it depnds on how much of your driving is on long motorway trips, where the 6-speed will be more relaxed and more economical.  It won't make such a difference in town or on country B-roads.

    What happens if you are stuck in a blizzard for hours in your limited range EV. Presumably you will very quickly run out of battery for drive and heat.  At least with conventional fuel that would not be the case unless you were stupid enough not to set out with a reasonable tank.

  While she was in theatre, in scrubs, some lowlife stole ALL her clothes from the changing room. If i find them, suggestions on a postcard please. Sadly I am not allowed to drive over them..
