  I have primed the system on my peugeot 206 1.9 diesel 1999, now when i try to start it the fuel runs back down the pipe to the filter. Does anyone know why and what to do to correct it? Someone has suggested putting a non return valve into the diesel feed pipe saying this will cure it again does anyone have any idea if this would work and could I do this myself?

  Ok this one's too late for me, as I've just bought a petrol 1.8 Focus CMAX, but was wondering what other folk thought ? The diesel was about £1000 more, on fuel economy this would pay back at around 40,000 miles by my reckoning. However is it still true that the diesels can be harder to start and need much more frequent oil changes ?
