Define your tipping point, to motoring discourtesy 14 Dec 2009 (Forum)
There`s a stretch of road near here where cars park both sides and it`s effectively one lane only, down the middle. You don`t see the car approaching until the last second, due to a bend, so it`s a split second decision whether to pull in and flash the other car through - or press straight on hoping he will wait or there may be a gap in the middle to pull into. -
Peugeot - 1990 2.5DT J5 vacuum pump question 9 Jun 2008 (Forum)
s certainly less than I would expect from a petrol car off the manifold? I don?t want to spend £150 on a new pump if the old one is working as intended. Many thanks, Dom -
Ford Fiesta Mk 4 - What\'s wrong? 6 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Also, the car has started to hold high revs even on \'idle\' so instead of idling at 1000 revs, it does it at 2. Again, this is occasional and I\'m not too bothered about that because my Dad\'s Focus did exactly the same thing and then stopped. ANy ideas? Thanks -
BP Diesel, rough running. Vauxhall Omega 15 May 2004 (Forum)
It\'s mostly BP round my way and I\'d be interested to hear anyone elses experiences. As I said, I thought diesel was diesel, but it would appear not. -
Vectra, cold low idle surge? 9 Dec 2003 (Forum)
I say *sounds* because that\'s the only symptom - the car doesn\'t actually physically surge, or not that I can tell - it just sounds as though it does. At higher speeds the engine seems fine and once warmed up it\'s ok at lower speeds to, so I\'m at a loss. -
Which car to choose....... 12 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Currently run a 130K miles 1.9Tdi 5 year old Fabia Elegance which I've had from new and it?s brilliant but it?s corroding and it?s got 130K on it! My wife runs an Aygo. Not much more to say about that.... Work 1.6 Focus Zetec may necessitate sale of Fabia. Need to replace Aygo to compensate for loss of Fabia power/kit. -
Letter from the Colonies 5 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Our companions listened to all this then chorussed \"what about us?!\" Well, let\'s get the TV on and find out who\'s going to win. It\'ll be Ate Gloria for sure, but that will stir things up. But then that\'s life in my adopted country. It gets a lot of bad press, not all justified, so here\'s a little plug from me: http://www.wowphilippines.com.ph Nice site. ...growler out/ -
Jaguar S Type - Jaguar S type engine issue 28 Feb 2013 (Forum)
Hello folks. Wondering if someone can help me. I recently purchased a 2004 S type. The car was advertised as being in good condition apart from the slight tapping noise. I emailed the seller who advised that the noise went away after a while. Picked up the car and to be honest everything worked perfectly apart from the tapping noise. -

Jaguar S-Type - Jaguar S Type R Engine failure at 29,000 miles 31 Jul 2010 (Forum)
In March 2009, I purchased a Jaguar Approved Used Car from Guy Salmon, Jaguar main dealer in Northampton. The car, a 4.2 S Type R, first registered in March 2004, had done 17,000 miles at purchase and has now covered just 29,000 miles. The car has been fully serviced by Jaguar main dealers throughout its life and was last serviced 2000 miles ago. -
MINI Cooper S R53 - Possibly buying a MINI Cooper S R53 tomorrow. 13 Jul 2010 (Forum)
Hi all, My mum is possibly going to be buying a 2006 MINI Cooper S R53 tomorrow. We viewed it today and it seems to be in immaculate condition. It's only done just over 30,000 miles and drives like new. It's had two previous owners, one of which was BMW (it was an ex-demo). -
Ford S-MAX (2006 - ) - 07 2.0 Unusual noises - Any ideas of causes 17 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Local Ford dealer says its ?normal?. I?ve not heard this noise in several other recent Ford 2.0 TDCI Mondeo?s, Galaxy?s or Smax?s. My concern is that this is an early warning of a potential failure of a critical item. Any ideas? I?d appreciate any advice on the cause of these noises and whether to regard these are worrying. -

Diesel motor for under £2,000 - any chance? 13 Aug 2013 (Forum)
With my Almera only turning out 35MPG I need to be hitting late 50's early 60's as I'm going to the pump twice a week and more. My problem is, I've only £2,000 to spend and want a diesel car preferably Volkswagen, bullet proof and not a money pit. -
