Tesco's and 5p off a litre 28 Jul 2006 (Forum)
Well annoyed with Tesco, in that if you should fill up at a TESCO EXTRA STORE, where the fuel is supplied by Esso or whoever, other than obviously by themselves they DO NOT accept the 5p of a litre voucher. Surely if the site is owned and advertised on Tesco's web site as a petrol station they should accept their vouchers. -
American Diesel 22 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I ask because VW diesels are the most popular there for cars (I think) so if they can run to hundreds of thousands of miles on what they sell there, our highly refined diesel should mean a very low stressed fuel system. -
Starting Diesels. 21 Mar 2006 (Forum)
Recently there have been a number of air leaks on diesel filters/fuel pipes resulting in poor cold starting;I try always to remove the complete filter assy. from the engine when doing this job-it is then easy to see that the filter cartridge and seals are correctly fitted than trying to do this by feel and upside down. -

TD engine chipping 8 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Has anyone out there tried chipping one of these or adding one of those units that go near to the fuel delivery system? If so, I'd be interested in what performance and economy increases you got and likely costs/insurance issues. Thanks -
Rover 420GSDi 1996 28 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Usually when cold or at low revs. engine fails to pick-up to the point of almost stalling. Feels like fuel starvation but picks up if I change down. No warning lights and main dealer is hopeless as computer says nothing is wrong. (What happened to mechanics?). Anyone any ideas please? -

Small car drivers watch out 13 May 2005 (Forum)
The US State of Oregon, not wishing to lose fuel tax revenue caused by the popularity of small and hybrid cars, is carrying out a study of ways to introduce a Vehicle Mileage Tax to ensure that small car drivers "pay their fair share of taxes". -
Nissan Micra "v" reg K11 16 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Several people seem to have cold stall problems, mine won't start from cold, once running it's fine. I have checked there is fuel getting through and spark and it has just been serviced, the garage found no problems. Is there a cold start sensor? -
pug 106 starting problems 26 Nov 2004 (Forum)
My 1.4 XS pug is not starting first time. Starter motor is working and fuel is definately getting to the engine so the pump is ok. Ive read elsewhere that it may be something to do with the ?TDC sensor?. The other thing is that the revs go crazy from time to time are these problems connected? -

I have now got it back, in full working order, but am £975 the poorer after the garage had to replace all 4 fuel injectors. Can anyone top the £1k? -
LPG ? 11 Aug 2004 (Forum)
Still looking for a newer car , and came across a Volvo S60 bi-fuel (LPG) . Its a 2002 model and to be honest it is very nice . But my big worry is (please excuse me) because its a 2.4 5 cylinder no turbo , will it still cost as much to run , as say a diesel Vectra ? -

Mondeo Immobiliser 15 Aug 2003 (Forum)
I have a 1994 Mondeo with a factory fit Bosch immobiliser. It has developed a fault where it is not releasing the fuel pump when you deactivate it. My garage has isolated this part of the system, but say it will have to go to Ford for a complete fix. Has anyone any experience of this system or had a similar problem? -
CAT probems 16 Jul 2003 (Forum)
I suspect my CAT is faulty because the car has been giving off various smells such rotten eggs and un-burnt fuel also it sounds as though it is slightly blowing at low speeds. -
Mercedes C220 1993 20 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Does anyone know anything about fuel gauge sender unit problems associated with blowback when filling tank? Wording amended. Contributing to an online discussion group with the caps lock on is thought to be bad manners (it\'s a way of expressing bad temper because it looks as if you\'re shouting).
