Can anybody give me advice on what is the best used car that be purchased for less than £750. The only requirement being that its reliable and has decent running costs and cheap to insure. I was thinking of a N plate Escort, any recommendations? -

Ford Focus Air Con noise 16 Jul 2003 (Forum)
Is it normal for the electric radiator cooling fan to be running all the time when the Climate Control is on? The car is 2002 Focus 2 litre Ghia Automatic. This fan is extremely noisy and the car can be heard coming from quite a distance. Cheers for any info. -

This confuses me as I think 95 RON petrol is standard unleaded, and Premium unleaded is 97 or 98 RON. Anyone got an answer on what I should run it on? -

If i try to hold it at a steady speed in nuetral it rev up and down. Also the tickover will suddenly jump to 1500 rpm instead of running smoothly at 500rpm, a real problem with an automatic thanks -

l have a 2.0ltr 405, the problem l have is that when you rev the engine the revs stay high then gradually fall back to the correct idle level, the throttle cable isnt sticking, other than this the car runs fine, any advice other than burn it or sell it would be appreciated. Duggie -

On our W-reg Kangoo Combi diesel ,it will not enter the pre heat stage to allow easy starting.Once bumped off it runs fine and starts O K when warm.Its been on the computer at the Renault dealers but refuses to show any fault! Any suggestions gratefully recieved Thanks. -

HGVs and Coaches are banned from the outside lane on motorways. I understood that this does NOT apply to 3 lane highways. e.g. the 3 lane A40 which runs from the M40 into London, even though this road is virtually motorway standard. A pal thinks they are banned on this type of road. Who is correct please? BobH -

we're advised to run the aircon at intervals during the winter just to get rid of bugs in the system which can cause a smell. But if its cold outside, will the aircon cut in and achieve the objective, please, folks? Despite doing what I've been told, the car still sometimes smells of old socks. -
