  Volkswagen wins top security award 16 Jun 2010 (News)
  This is the first time Volkswagen has won the BIVSA overall, with Volvo and Audi the only other companies to have lifted the title in the award's seven year history. The BIVSA are supported by the Home Office, Department for Transport, What Car? and the AA. Cars are judged on a number of criteria identified by the New Vehicle Security Ratings scheme and only those with a maximum five-star rating for 'theft from', double locking and an 'E' insurance suffix to denote they had exceeded the required standard made it through to the final judging.
