Since the summer of 2014, the wholesale cost of Brent crude oil has fallen by almost 50 per cent, the longest-running reduction in 20 year, with overproduction and slowing demand behind the historic decline. However, with 76 per cent of the price of unleaded made up of tax, it’s thought that few retailers will be able to offer petrol bellow £1 per litre on a long term basis. -

The Classic Motor Show has been running now for 30 years, and just as the classic car scene is booming in popularity, it seems that the UK’s largest indoor show is going from strength to strength. Allard Sports Cars Limited has unveiled what it describes as the 'ultimate original restoration' at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show. The company, which is still run by the original Allard family, has completed a full nuts-and-bolts restoration of a prototype 1956 Palm Beach Mk2. The fact that the company is run by the son, Alan, and grandson, Lloyd, of Sydney Allard, who both have a very hands-on role within Allard Sports Cars, makes this charming company, based in Gloucester unique within the British specialist car industry. -
