Other specification changes include; electrically folding door mirrors, improved security by means of additional door lock shielding, a more luxurious 'soft-feel' seat trim, and the addition of EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) to the ABS braking system on Equippe and Elegance models. • Another Yaris Makes Top Money at Auction 26 Oct 2001 (News)
If he had managed to wrestle the morning rag from the dog, he'd have discovered that all 68,838 Freelanders built up to March 2001 were being recalled to have their parking brake mechanisms fixed. Which hardly made this example of Solihull workmanship 'ready to retail material'. Lumpy 98R Merc E240 Avantgarde are now Far East export material, which explains why an 82,000 mile which started at £10,000 then bid on to sell for no less than £14,800.
  • Used Van Buying Guide: Toyota Hilux 2004-2015 16 Jun 2025 (News)
The automatic gained an extra gear, for five, while the torque output of the standard 3.0-litre engine increased to 350Nm. The changes helped improve economy and emissions, while all benefitted from bigger brakes as part of the changed specification. Continuing with Toyota’s near constant tinkering were some revisions to the 2.5-litre engine for 2010. It would see a 20 per cent boost in output - up from 120PS to 144PS, dropping the 0-62mph time by 2.5 seconds to 12.5 seconds.

  • Used Van Buying Guide: Vivaro 2014 - 2019 20 Nov 2019 (News)
Ensure this has been carried out, the owner should have paperwork to back it up.  A further recall was made for the Vivaro’s parking brake, for vans built between June 2018 and August 2018. Other recalls relate to the EGR pipe, airbags, seat fitment, brakes and suspension. Check with the DVSA, or Vauxhall if any remedial work has been done, or is required.  It might have had a number of recalls, but the Vivaro has always ranked highly in fleet reliability surveys, underlining the work Vauxhall undertook to improve it when it arrived in 2014.

  • A Grand Monday: MG ZS 120+ 15 May 2017 (News)
.   If it's solid here, then the only other common MoT fail points are CV joints (they all do that, sir...) and consumable parts such as brakes, tyres, bushes and dampers. There are no corrosion advisories in the MoT history, so chances are it's a good 'un.  At £695, we don't reckon this will hang around for long.
  • Only Fools and Horses E-type for sale 18 Aug 2016 (News)
On their way home, Rodney accidentally throws a cigar pack out of the window on which are written the phone numbers of some girls, causing Del Boy to hit the brakes and another car to crash into them. It has a small rear spoiler, a chrome squared off exhaust, different bumpers and unique alloy wheels complete with green painted brake callipers. As a result it’s a bit of a Q-car – unassuming to look at but pretty potent under the bonnet. Inside there are some neat touches like the vRS sports seats with their light grey inserts, which subsequently became a trademark look for Skoda’s sporty models, along with special instrument dials plus a perforated leather gear lever and steering wheel.

The car effectively became a 100S Coupe, making it totally unique. The blue car became the test bed in period for the later six-cylinder engine for the subsequent 100/6 model.

There are no warning lights on the dashboard. Obviously, whoever buys it will need to budget for a bit of recomissioning work – the brakes will need freeing off and refurbishing, although it sounds like the discs and pads have plenty of life left. With a bit of work, this could make an excellent summer classic. Read our Toyota MR2 review and buying guide here Find out how many Toyota MR2s survive here Find Toyota MR2s for sale here
