  • Perodua - Are Perodua still selling in the UK 14 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Are they still importing to the UK? I thought the Myii would have been a bigger sales success with the current climate for fuel efficent petrol cars.
  • 200mph radio control cars 16 Apr 2008 (Forum)
Pointless I know, but on todays www.liveleak.com is an uploaded video of nitro fuel R/C cars going round a circular track at 200mph. Amusing for about 30 secs, then you feel giddy and travel sick!
  • Design Innovations 14 Aug 2007 (Forum)
Following from the design faults thread, there must be a similar list of design innovations that have eliminated many causes of misery. As a starter for ten I would suggest plastic fuel tanks and those spring loaded radiator hose clips.

  • petrol/diesel prices 8 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Despite Mr Brown adding 1 1/2p to the price of fuel, isn't it odd how both my local Sainsburies and local Esso have just hiked their diesel by 4p?! Very strange! Anyone else noticed that?

with all these hybrid cars coming out, can someone explain why they are petrol/electric rather than diesel/electric? it seems that the petrol/electric doesn't give any better return in fuel economy than a diesel engine in the first place.

  • marine petrol 29 Apr 2002 (Forum)
I'm hoping to buy an outboard powered small day boat in a partnership. The petrol duty is levied for road use, so I should be able to recover that duty on fuel for marine use. Is there any mechanism for doing this or this another dirty little tax?

  • Petrol vapourisation 26 Jul 2001 (Forum)
I have a kit car which has suffered some fuel problems due to excess under-bonnet temperatures. I think I have resolved this now, but just out of curiosity, what temperature does petrol boil at?
  • Biodiesel 2 Apr 2001 (Forum)
I believe that the Chancellor indicated in the recent budget that the tax would be 20p per litre lower than on the fossil fuel version, but will actually be cheaper or will the "saving" be lost in higher production costs.
