  • Lorries! 18 Nov 2002 (Forum)
What is it with these? One on the M23 yesterday, one on the M20 and two on the M25 today. Do they try to drive them like cars in the wet? Do they fall asleep - all these were early morning. Is it the foreign trucks? The way you see them tailgating in the wet I suppose we're lucky there are not more. Do the rozzers EVER do anything about dangerous truck driving?

Am considering buying Astra 1.8SXi.Road reports to date all seem favourable. However on recent short test drive we found both seats to be quite hard. even uncomfortable.I know it is supposed to be "sporty"But I would welcome comment from anyone on a"long drive" experience.I don't think different seats are an option.

  • Oil Changes 19 Dec 2001 (Forum)
Looking through my Accord's service book, Honda have left spaces for "intermediate oil change" every 4,500 miles. Is this necessary for a certain type of driving (i.e all motorway or all town driving), or is it a good idea irrespective of what the car is used for? Andy
  • Volvo V40 - Help please - Volvo Selekt warranty problems 4 Jul 2024 (Forum)
    12) They also insist the car is safe to drive and suggest I take it away, as they don't know the problem. And, they advise Volvo UK that the car is safe to drive, as long as I keep my hands on the steering wheel. They suggest for any further work I drive it, 3 hours, to Wolverhampton.

  • Any - car bonnet visibility aids 22 Sep 2017 (Forum)
Also the visible drivers side bonnet  edge is a good reference, to avoid straying accross lane markings on the road. I know people say that you get used to driving without this reference. But I find that I need to concentrate much more to drive such cars, while a visible bonnet makes staying in lane much more easy. Not to mention maneouvering around tight spaces.

  • Help with choice please. 12 Mar 2017 (Forum)
To get a similar age/mileage c1 I could prob spend closer to 7 from a main dealer. I was thinking the C1 would be a good choice if the job change goes ahead, looks fun to drive etc. Although the fiesta is a lovely drive (had one as a hire car for a week). I was wondering if a fiesta might be just as good a choice if it is a short drive to work. If I don't get the job change I was thinking that the fiesta would be better for the commute due to motorway driving, not sure the C1 would cope.
