Any - car bonnet visibility aids 22 Sep 2017 (Forum)
Also the visible drivers side bonnet edge is a good reference, to avoid straying accross lane markings on the road. I know people say that you get used to driving without this reference. But I find that I need to concentrate much more to drive such cars, while a visible bonnet makes staying in lane much more easy. Not to mention maneouvering around tight spaces. -
Why am I getting less mpg than expected in my Toyota Auris Hybrid? 24 Aug 2017 (Ask HJ)
I have a 2016 Toyota Auris Hybrid and the electric engine appears to have a very short range. On the indicator of battery power you can never get it fully... -
Help with choice please. 12 Mar 2017 (Forum)
To get a similar age/mileage c1 I could prob spend closer to 7 from a main dealer. I was thinking the C1 would be a good choice if the job change goes ahead, looks fun to drive etc. Although the fiesta is a lovely drive (had one as a hire car for a week). I was wondering if a fiesta might be just as good a choice if it is a short drive to work. If I don't get the job change I was thinking that the fiesta would be better for the commute due to motorway driving, not sure the C1 would cope. -

Nissan Note (2006 - ) - Nissan Note - just got it 12 Oct 2010 (Forum)
Test drives were organised and the Note won due to her being most happy at driving it. (Test drives in any other cars were declared unnecessary!) Fortunately reviews for the Note are positive and it ticked all of the boxes for her needs, so it now sits on the drive. -

NIP - who was driving? 11 May 2007 (Forum)
However assuming it is correct in that an offence was committed (i.e. the camera calibration is not erroneous or someone local has not cloned her number plate) we have an issue - we cannot be totally sure who was driving at the time of the offence. In this regard the NIP states: "What to do if you are not sure who was driving during the alleged offence. It is the legal responsibility of the vehicle's keeper to nominate who was driving at the time of the alleged offence. -
VW GOLF 1.5 TSI EVO SE 2019 - VW Golf - Stop start while coasting - Normal ? 8 Aug 2025 (Forum)
Is this normal for this car ? While driving and easing off the accelerator the revs drop to zero and then when the accelerator is pressed again the engine restarts. Occurs in any driving mode, at any speed and switching off the stop/start feature has no effect. -
Honda Stream CRV - Hot brake discs 27 Apr 2024 (Forum)
However when I took the car in for a brake test on a rolling road (Kwik Fit) I was told that everything was a 'pass' including the 'brakes binding' test. The MOT is not due till the summer. Should I just keep on driving and not worry? Driving an import, I am rather anxious about anything failing suddenly, because there may be a delay getting spare parts. -
2013 Toyota Camry - Japanese Import 2013 Toyota Camry 23 Feb 2024 (Forum)
One is the 2.0L VVTI Petrol Automatic 4 Speed Transmission and the other is the 2.5 Dual VVTI Petrol Automatic Six Speed (I think) Transmission. Both are same spec Camrys. Driving in the UK with quite expensive Petrol prices I obviously want to have the best MPG. My question is will there be a big noticeable difference in real MPG? I drive mostly Motorways driving. Also are there others advantages and disadvantages between the two. -

Electric tests? 23 Apr 2022 (Forum)
There is a question on the Ask HJ page "Will the manual driving test be phased out with the switch to electric cars?" While not a scientific study, at least one driving school (a husband & wife outfit) in my area (East London) have stopped offering 'manual' lessons on anticipation. -
