Then, usually, flooring it cures the problem, but lifting off and reapplying the gas again can cause a backfire. Spark plugs look OK, fuel filter recently changed, fuel pump is a bit noisy but seems fine. A light spray of WD40 over the electrics sometimes improves things. Could it just be needing a new distributor cap, or something more serious? -

once warm it starts ok - it drives as normal with good mpg - it's had injectors checked/cleaned then re programed, heater plugs checked, new starter, new sensors, tappets set, fuel tank cleaned (seems to start slightly better with more fuel in tank), dmf seems quiet. Just been told i have to have car allowance now when i change. I dó 50,000 miles a yr and apprx 5000 private miles. I have a fuel card. Dó i have to pay my own insurance with car allowance? Ive done all the stuff, cashaft slot correct, pin in the pump and pin in for crank but no matter what she refuses to run, there is fuel at the injectors by the tanker load but she will only run on the naughty gas. Im beginning to think maybe there is a "coding" problem but if the immobiliser was not seeing the Bosch pump surely there would be no fuel up to the injectors??? -
