  • Hyundai i20 (2009) - new car purchase - am I being unrealistic? 28 May 2009 (Forum)
Hi all Buying a new i20 for SWMBO under the scrappage scheme. Getting a very good deal at £2,400 off list price. I ordered the car at the end of April and we went to the garage today to provide the evidence they need for the old car - aiming to pick up the new car end of this week. Anyway, as they want a banker's draft several days before delivery, I thought it not unreasonable to see our new car in advance - to check for marks, dents etc.

  • Hyundai I20 - rear calliper problems 15 Mar 2013 (Forum)
I have had to replace both the rear callipers on my Hyundai I20 before the car was 2 years old.  I live too far from the dealer to see if their warranty would cover it so paid out £400 for this. Doe anyone know if this is a problem with the MArque or have I just been unlucky.
  • Ford Fiesta Flight 1.3 R Reg second hand fuel pump 29 Sep 2010 (Forum)
My car refused to start and the AA diagnosed a shorted turn fuel pump. Garage wants £552.25 for a new one. excluding labour. Outrageous for a 13yr old car. I can't afford to replace the car nor pay silly money for a pump.

Just aquired a 2004 Ford Focus before that I had an old N reg Micra My question relates to the fresh air intake on the car. When driving there never seems to be all that much fresh air entering the cabin. The car soon feels a bit stuffy until I turn on the blower then I get plenty of fresh air.

My Citroen Synergie HDi has thrown it's under engine tray (plastic) on the M5, and I'm half thinking "Is it actually worth replacing?" Does anyone have an opinion on these strange and wobbly bits of plastic under our cars? Are they vital? Love the car though, superb old bus. If you lot think I need one, so be it. • Disposing of a LHD car in the UK? 22 May 2007 (Forum)
A friend of mine is relocating from France back to the UK. He'll be getting a nice shiny new LR Discovery as a company car back in England. Problem is: how does he get shot of his 3yr-old left-hand drive French-registered Vectra GSi? It's worth more in France, but he hasn't got the time or patience or language-skills to try to sell it privately before he leaves France.
  • Best source for a W124 7 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Hi, Quick question - have moved on from the idea of an older diesel as my next car, and contemplating a W124 (petrol) - fab build quality, should be effortless to tour around in, and cheap (well relatively, for a 10+ year old car) Owners clubs historically have a fantastically over-inflated view of what their cars are worth (observiation from PCGB), and the 'specialists' in the mark also believe that they are worth eye watering amounts.
