Vauxhall Corsa C - MAP sensor 4 Mar 2013 (Forum)
All the breather pipes and pipes to the sensor were a bit 'gungy' and have been cleaned. Following this the car starts and runs better but the engine management light came back on after a few miles of driving. Is it possible to clean the MAP sensor and if so what with? I dont want to just replace it as they are £100. -

Citroen C3 1.4 HDi 2006 - Citroen C3 1.4 HDi 2006 - Squeeky when started 18 Jan 2013 (Forum)
Hi, My C3 when first started makes quite a loud squeeky noise that runs in rythm to the usual noise of the engine turning over. It only lasts for about 10 mins and I guess once the engine has warmed up that's when it stops. I don't think this is too normal :/ . Any advice to what I should do would be great :) Thanks -
Honda Crv - Why is there condensation the inside of windscreen 6 Jan 2013 (Forum)
With the frosty nights, I have had to demist my windscreen. Twice in a row there has been condensation running down my windscreen and drops of water from the sunroof. All windowns and sunroof closed. I am demisting using the A/C on full with windscreen vents. I think hot air - though it may initially blow cold. -

Peugeot 307 - Flexible Pipe Hanging Down Underneath 11 Sep 2012 (Forum)
Pipe is dry; not dripping liqud. Haven't jacked it up to have a good look. I guess it is some kind of overflow? Car runs fine. Can I leave it until the next service? -
Any - When Will the Americans Learn 20 Aug 2012 (Forum)
Just got back from an epic holiday to Southern California, and could'nt help noticing that a large proportion of their cars were still mega gas guzzlers, even though regular Gasoline is now about 66p a litre. I know its still less than half what we pay but it must still hurt running something like a 5.8 V8 Chevvy Silverado or Ford F350 'Super-Duty' truck. I have to admit they do sound like rolling thunder pulling away from the lights though ! -
Small, automatic's. 17 Aug 2012 (Forum)
I looked at trading her Aygo in for a MMT version of the same car or Yaris, however I have since read of the horror stories surrounding the MMT box. Can anyone recommend a good auto that is as cheap to run as an Aygo and costs between 5.5k and 6k? Thanks -

Vauxhall Zafira A - Zafira Elegance ECU 20 Feb 2012 (Forum)
MY question is, do the numbers on the ecu have to match exactly because I'm having trouble finding one that matches but there are others that match my engine but not the numbers on the ecu. Except for the slight misfire the car runs fine. -

With this new mot looming will bangernomics survive? I've managed to run old 'uns for years but with airbags and esp etc etc apparently to be targeted maybe my days are numbered! which cars do you think best to avoid huge mot bills in the future. apparently car and component manafacturers lobby the wonderful eec to stiifen up mots to ensure our safety,,,,,,,,,not of course to increase their profits.I want a petrol car with steel wheels, mimmum airbags, no esp or the like with some degree of comfort for me bad back. -
Mazda 3 1.6 TDCI - After engine change - immobiliser on. 8 Jan 2012 (Forum)
I recently changed the engine in my 2005 Mazda 3 1.6 tdci. The old engine had run on its own oil and was shot. I bought a 2008 fiesta 1.6 engine, swapped my loom and ecu, clutch, starter and sensors over but left the fiesta injector pump on it as it has much lower mileage. -

any - michelin tyres 7 Dec 2011 (Forum)
Been trawling through the websites looking for a good deal on some new tyres before winter, and mentioned this to my friendly local VX dealer who services my epica, and he supplied me with 4 tyres that a customer didn;t want on his new vauxhall. Firstly, I got a good deal, but I am amazed that someone buying a run of the mill car can not be happy with the tyres that come with the car, in this case michelin. car literally driven off the transporter, all the coloured markings still on the outer tread blocks
