  • Volkswagen Bora - Saturated footwell 4 Mar 2015 (Forum)
Can anyone offer their kind advice. I drive a 2.0 petrol bora. The drivers footwell is saturated in water. I can see it running in behind the petals but don't know where it is coming in from outside the car. Some forums say the pollen filter can cause this problem but can it come from there and end up in the drivers side??

  • Used VW - Option to extend manufacturers warranty? 1 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Hi All, I am buying a 6 month old Passat 2L Diesel (140PS) from a VW franchise. Manufacturers warranty runs out in Aug 2016. I have enquired about extending the VW warranty and have been told something like £490 for one year and £890 for 2 years. I do about 15,000 miles a year. Any thoughts on what questions I should be asking and in the absence of a crystal ball whether its worth it?

  • Ford Focus - I broke a pipe, but don't know what it is 10 Nov 2013 (Forum)
I was changing the rubber corner part of the intercooler pipe on my 2001 focus tdi and I snapped a thin plastic pipe that runs from the metal bit of the intercooler pipe at the back of the engine up to what looks like some sort of sensor hanging directly below the windscreen at the back of the engine.    I don't know what the pipe is called so am struggling to search for a replacement.

  • Auto for £1000 and under with room for dogs. 30 Jul 2013 (Forum)
I only have a small budget to get the girlfriend a new car. She currently has a Pajero 2.8 SWB but we can't afford to run it as the MPG is awful. I need an automatic for around £800 that has space for her to chuck the 3 dogs in the back. So far I have been looking online at Ford Focus Estate 1.6, Honda CRV, Vitara.
  • toyota verso 2.2 auto - gearbox oil change 10 Jul 2013 (Forum)
I am changing the oil on my Verso at 6500 miles prior a run down to Spain. The first service will be done in October. Is it prudent to change the Auto box fluid as well. I used to change my last Verso (Petrol) engine oil every 5-6ooo miles and the auto box oil every 30000 miles, and both were like new after 10 years.

  • Diesel or Petrol? 31 Mar 2013 (Forum)
I drive for work around 50 miles per night, stopping and starting but not long enough for the engine to get really cold. I then drive around 20 miles during the day, school run etc. In September I will be starting Uni, 11 miles each way on the motorway. I've been looking at Diesels for the fuel economy but now I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing. Do I need a Diesel or Petrol?
