Hi

the timing belt snapped on a ford fiesta and the garage said there is a piston down? i have taken the car to my house and put a new belt on (belt kit) and it will just about run but its lumpy as hell, i didn't want to take the head off if the valves are okay i also put new spark plungs in all 4. there is fual getting there. i do think the valves are bent the car also will not idle on its own

Highly likely valves bent. Possible damage to cams, pistons and con rods.

Only way to ascertain for certain is to remove head to inspect valves and check the pistons for damage and height in the bores.

Proably a good engine from a scrapper is your best way to sort it.

okay i will do that but are these a non interference engine?
