  Hi There, Looking for some technical assistance. I have a 1991 mazda MX5 that some shyster has attempted to steal so now i need a new ignition system  and a door glass, The car is a 1991 model and a breaker has confirmed they have a driver side door glass and lock set available but it is from a 1998 model, can anyone tell me if these will fit straight off or will i have any problems with the ignition system / plugs and the door glass?

  I have a Mazda 5 which has a DPF on it.  I understand that during the regen process diesel is added to the DPF filter and this assists with the process.  Should the engine be switched off mid way through the process it dumps the diesel into the oil sump.

  Hi all, (if I am overstepping the mark let me know and I'll remove the post) I know that you are more than likely not able to advertise where I can source a quality second hand engine for a 6 speed 120 break Mazda 6 TS diesel 2.0 2007 , I live in Northern Ireland and I have tried to source one in the whole of Ireland (obviously with no joy),  I see plenty of adverts on the net for England  but I am not sure where to go that is trustworthy in the Mainland.

  Could the ECU need reset after the engine seizing and its giving a false reading ? would it need a mazda diagnostic machine test ? ANY HELP would be most welcome to get car on the road .

  Hi All Further to my bmw query, I've rather gone off the idea of getting an E39 at this time, due to concerns over maintenance costs (given the age and mileage my budget would be buying. So instead I've decided to remain loyal to Mazda and am looking at a 6 with the 2.3 petrol sport model. I've seen one and its got leather interior, 60k FSH (apparently). Nice colour too. Has anyone got any experience of this model and more specifically this engine?

  I had booked the car in for the 27th May (after our holiday) and was told the HT lead was not due from the factory until the 5th June and this may be subject to delay. Have complained to the dealer by e-mail - No response. Mazda UK will only refer me to the dealer Car was only registered on 1st September 2007. Not sure what to do now - any suggestions ?   I am also only getting a very disappointing 26 mpg on average, instead of the quoted 35. It has been to Mazda twice and they claim not to know what's causing all this. The centre and back box were changed in desperation, but made no difference. Independent garages have suggested the lambda sensors and noisy catalytic converter, although Mazda say not - any body got any ideas?

  Got Mazda 5, 2013 has 52,000 miles. Nice car, runs well with sliding doors. Thought had it for 6 years. I’m spending quite a bit on petrol, thinking whether it’s time to change to a hybrid. Would it save petrol having a hybrid.

  Am considering buying a Mazda MX5 Eunos as they are more plentiful than UK spec cars. have heard that some spares are more difficult and expensive to find than UK sourced cars. would appreciate any advice/comments on this. Also does anyone know of independent specialists in the London area that can service, repair the Eunos.

  hi all, I have a 99 mazda demio. never gave me any problems but lately if its be raining heavy for a couple of days it just wont start, next day if its dry it just starts first turn!...any advice? I tried spraying the plug leads ect with WD40

  I have a 2008 Mazda 6 and tonight I left the (daylight running) lights on to pop into Tesco's. Couldn't have been more than 10 mins, but when I came back, it almost didn't start. I have not used the car much in the past two weeks, but surely that couldn't cause the problem?

  As a follow on from my thread on the Mazda 5 which I have now decided against, any opinions from owners or former owners of the Premacy. They look a cheap buy second hand and the sport would give me plenty toys including the all important sunroof although there is no diesel version, but at the prices I would be making a big saving against new alternatives.
