Ford Galaxy - Air Con failure on Ford Galaxy Ghia - error codes 20 Apr 2013 (Forum)
I have a flashing climate control display on start up on my 56 reg Galaxy Ghia. While flashing, what I presime is an error code of 88 is displayed in several places. The air con seems to have stopped working although the blowers etc work. I am in France and the language problems will make it difficult to discuss with a French garage. Does anyone know how I can find out if this is an error code and what it means? -
Vauxhall Astra G Petrol (1998 - 2004) - Air con parts numbers. 6 Jul 2009 (Forum)
I have an air con compressor with the No. R-1580023 ref v699423-vau stuck on it. A year ago I bought this for an Astra but I never bothered to fit it. Can anyone confirm what models this pump will fit or where I may check the numbers myself. -
BMW 3-Series E46 (1998 - 2005) - 05 2.0d Multi vee drive to air con compressor 14 Apr 2009 (Forum)
When I found the air con not operating, I found the drive belt from the crankshaft to the compressor had come off. Is there an adjustment for the compressor to alter the tension of the drive belt? I cannot figure out how the belt came off the pulleys, as it was too 'tight' to slip over them and operate the key to crank it back in to place. -

306 hdi air con 24 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Just got the car back and the mechanics told me that he found a leak on the metal hose that runs in front on the radiator where the bracket is ( i know thats the weak point on these cars) I just wanted some advise for when it goes back in a couple of weeks. The car is 2001 (y) so id love to have the air con working. Obviously theres a posibility that there may be more than one leak so wheres the best place to get the pipes from etc and what sort of cost am i looking at with the hope that the rest is ok? -
Primera Air Con 28 Jun 2004 (Forum)
I have a 98 Primera and have noticed in the recent hot weather that the air con is not cooling as much as it should. The system seems to behave OK at motorway speeds, but seems to cut out completely at 30 - 40mph It was regassed last year, and the problem does not seem to be getting any worse i.e. hopefully not leaking I assume the problem is that the gas level is too low? -
Another air con q.....Vectra 12 Aug 2003 (Forum)
I have a 97 on a R 2.0DL Vectra, whose air con probably needs re-gassing,as it isn't working like it should. 2 local specialists have quoted me £80 to have it done.Personally,I think thats a bit steep.I do need to get it done before this weekend as I'm on holiday for 2 weeks. -
306 Air Con Fault Diagnosis 26 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Peugeot 306 DT 1997R (Auto air con fitted) Fault - compressor not kicking in, nor fans, even though "green" light indicates A/C is on. Happened once before 2 years ago - at some cost main dealer found a break in wiring? I'd rather have a go at logically diagnosing the problem (and fixing it) Anyone any suggestions about how to approach the problem. -

Recommendations for a used car without air con sme 31 Mar 2016 (Forum)
I was reading an Honest John answer to a query about air con smell; he said that some cars are worse than others. I have only owned two cars: 1, A 2000 reg Polo. 2, A 2007 used Prius. The former had no air con and thus gave me no such smell for 10 years of use. -

Air Con trouble - Daewoo Lanos 23 Feb 2004 (Forum)
Car:- Daewoo Lanos 1.6 SX 1998 The gas (all of 8 litres) has evaporated from my air con system in less than 2 months (on a 5-yr old car). A reputable local garage/dealer partially recharged it and did a dye test and asked me to bring it back to them 2 weeks later. In the meantime, the air con worked but again it emptied after a month (so there\'s definitely a leak somewhere) but they tell me that the dye is fine and theat there\'s no trace of a leak.
