  Hi, I was wondering why when getting a pcp quote both volkswagen and audi wont give you the piece of paper the quote was printed on becasue it is not on an 'official' piece of paper? Also I was wondering whether dealers quote a higher finaly payment/gmfv if they think they are selling a car to you for a higher price, the reason I ask is: 'Whats car depreciation calculator' has the Audi a3 sportback 150 se 5dr at £8576 after 4 years but the dealer told me the final payment after 49 months would be £11803.

    I'm a 23-year old male, and I want to buy a new car.  I've finally narrowed myself down to either a Volvo C30 1.6D SE Drive, or a Volkswagen 1.6TDI SE Bluemotion (5dr).  They're both a similar price for similar spec.  They both have similar economy/emissions/VED price.  They're both great looking cars.  But what one do I buy?

  Hi Gang!! I'm looking at buying a used a motor with a lovely Volkswagen V5 lump under the front. I was initially all fired up about it as I'd heard that these chain-cam engines are essentially indestructible. However, I've since heard of a number of cases in which the engine "lunched" itself because of a failure of the chain tensioner.

  So what was it doing with these in stock: A 96P Polo 1.4 Harlequin (the one with the body panels in different colours) with 6,600 miles on the clock (!) and, to judge from the plate, direct from Volkswagen UK and A 00X Ford Falcon 4.0 Ute (car dervied pickup, about the size of an Omega) from Australia with 26k that looked like it had been worked quite hard. Amyone care to guess at the prices?
