Define Clean Driving Licence 6 Apr 2008 (Forum)
At the age of nearly 51 I'm giving up doctoring on health grounds, taking a medical retirement and then will look for a low stress job. I actually enjoy driving and even in a city environment I still find it relaxing, so this is the area I will be looking for work. Employers ask for a "clean driving licence". Does this mean no prosecutions showing from any point in time or just no current prosecutions? -

Liability for rear end accident? 30 May 2005 (Forum)

Mondeo clutch problem 9 Oct 2004 (Forum)
I have a 2000 (old shape) Mondeo which has covered just under 60000 miles (manual). The clutch has started to feel odd and is slipping when the drive is taken up. It doesn't feel like normal clutch failure due to clutch plate wear (and I would be surprised at this mileage as my driving style is light on clutches). When I say odd it seems that when you release the pedal it appears as though the drive is taken up quite slowly even if you release the pedal instantly (makes it very difficult to move into a small gap but virtually impossible to stall!). -
Short Journeys & Gentle Driving 12 Feb 2004 (Forum)
IIRC, it was in a recent Technical thread that someone stated that short journeys and gentle driving (generally in small cars…mine is a Jazz) were the catalytic converters worst enemy. My driving comes mainly in this category (apart from a 60 mile Motorway trip in the Grandpa Lane once or twice a month). -
Fast motorway driving - Good or bad? 19 Dec 2003 (Forum)
I am aware that my fuel consumption at this speed is ridiculous, but i am wondering about the long-term effects of driving at a constant speed at high revs for an extended length of time. -
Two Wheel Drive Danger 12 Dec 2003 (Forum)
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Formula One driver Eddie Irvine, after he was caught speeding on a scooter with no licence and no insurance, court officials have said. The 38-year-old was arrested by police in London on July 24 this year for driving at over 30mph on a scooter through the city's Hyde Park, with no scooter licence and no insurance. The former Jordan and Ferrari racing driver, who won four Grand Prix in Formula One, was charged with excess speed, no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with licence. -
Audi 100 s4 fuel consumption 14 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Hi I have just bought a 1994 Audi S4 Avant Auto, it has been chipped to stage 1 level and has 270 HP, it is a great car, fantastic to drive and fast the only trouble is I am only averaging around 15mpg, for a mixture of town and dual carriage way driving, I do drive the car quite hard but my wife drives it mainly and very sedately and the mpg still does not increase much at all. -
