1.4 Turbos - Astra/Focus/Golf sized cars? 13 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Will be getting a fuel card with my new job and will change my (personal) car to something with a MUCH lower CO2 number to minimise the BIK hit. I want to stay with petrol and have found that several companies now do a 1.4 turbo petrol with 120-140 ish horses in an Astra/Focus/Golf sized car. -

Peugeot 406 Changing Glow Plugs 16 Jan 2010 (Forum)
I've managed to change the two passenger side plugs, but I have no chance of getting at the other two without taking out the fuel injection unit - is this right or am I missing something obvious? I can't believe a regular serviceable item such as these is so difficult to access.... Cheers -

What car for me? 9 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Hi guys, I drive an '01 Picasso 1.6 petrol and LOVE the spacious interior. Sick of fuel prices and sick of road tax prices. I like the 62mpg of the diesel Nemo, it also cost 35 quid a year to tax it, also it seems to be another spacious beast. At around the ten grand mark for an ex demo model what do you think my alternative options are? -
Kia Sportage / Hyundai Tucson advice please 2 Dec 2009 (Forum)
I am considering buying either Kia Sportage / Hyundai Tucson (new or upto a couple of years old) with the diesel engine option. Does anyone know if they have any major faults? I believe that the common rail fuel system is from Bosch. Does anyone know if it has a DPF (it is Euro IV)? I believe that the camshafts are chain driven. Does anyone know if it uses a DMF? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice. -

Cost of Motoring Down 17% ! 26 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Government state that the cost of motoring is down 17%! I knew it. Duty has decreased and the price of fuel has plummeted. Car prices are down. I take it you have all noticed. The figure is reached in comparison to the cost of public transport, the cost of which has increased. And something needs doing to rectify this apparently. -
Nissan Primera III (1999 - 2002) - 2000 1.6 intermitent stallling 15 Mar 2009 (Forum)

Ford Transit Connect (2002 - ) - 03 2.2 more oil sump woes 21 Feb 2009 (Forum)
i have a 260 dual fuel ford transit van with a leaky sump. I have been told that I will have to replace the enitre sump and not just the leaking sump tray due to the fact that the model is a little odd/old. But as 260 transit van does not seem either to me, and I wonder if I am being taken for a ride here... -
Peugeot - New Pug 4007 19 Jan 2009 (Forum)
Saw an advert in one of the Sunday mags introducing the new Peugeot 4007, the company's first 4x4. Looks very aggressive with it's big shark mouth grille. Advert says it uses more fuel in 2wd. To my eye it makes a Ssangyong Musso look cute. 19inch alloys with low profile tyres...not for off-road and probably a bad idea for some of our pot-holed roads locally. At £24000, an expensive way to get the kids to school ! -

Reckon the Month old battery has caused it to spike and knackered the initial process that tells fuel system to engage. Any Ideas? Is this garbage or sound about right. There charging me 3 1/2 hrs labour at 92 to tell me this. Regards -
Vauxhall Corsa B (1993 - 2000) - 97 1.2 injector low voltage 4 Jan 2009 (Forum)
had a diagnostics ran on my car and it came up with a few problems. 1)Code25 injector(s) low voltage 2) code 24 speed sensor no signal My car seems to be misfiring and getting no acceleration when throttle is pressed and it struggles as though it is not getting any fuel or no spark by my guess, but i have not a clue about cars. Cheers -
Toyota Landcruiser 80 Amazon (1990 to 1998) - 1993 4.2TD Fungus in diesel tank 15 Dec 2008 (Forum)
As this car doesn't get used much, how do I keep the fuel tank/lines etc dry and stop fungus (or whatever it's called) from growing? It's kept in a cold garage with lot's of condensation. I give it some Millers every so often (for what it's worth), but not sure if this will help to keep it dry etc. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 00 2.0 HDi Cold start issues. 4 Dec 2008 (Forum)
It starts fine, but it runs very rough for a couple of seconds before settling on a normal idle. I'm not sure what could causing this, glow plugs, air in fuel system, battery? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Craig. -
Engine fouls own nest - `food` goes into wrong end 29 Oct 2008 (Forum)
During re-generation,with particulate filter equipped diesels, do injectors really blast fuel into the cylinders on the exhaust stroke, wetting bores and contaminating oil? Or is there a separate injector just upstream of the DPF? Is there a better engineering solution to cleaning a particulate filter? -
Peugeot 206 hatchback (1998 - 2006) - 00 1.4 Automatic stalls at traffic lights 23 Sep 2008 (Forum)
I drive a 2000 206 GLX Automatic, however it has developed a weird but intermitten problem, when I hit the brakes to slow down and stop at lights of in traffice the car stalls, it appears to be a fuel problem but the garage assure me they have checked and there is not a problem, this issue happens for about an hour and is then fine, I am so confused any ideas?? -
Franchise servicing 18 Sep 2008 (Forum)
It appears they have retracted this decision. Not only will this decision close many independent garages and fuel the dole queue but also mean the sale of sub standard pirate parts.
