  Car in excellent condition BUT Owner gets in car first thing in morning press start - nothing perhaps "ignition on" comes up . then gives key to wife starts first time. Wife gets in car first thing in morning always starts first time. WEIRD ! Any ideas! Key fob battery has been renewed - no change.

  Up until i washed the car the car was running fine. Now the car won`t start even though i replaced the battery a couple of weeks ago. There is a warning light coming up on the dashboard saying Stabilitrak. What does this mean and why does the car not start? Any advice is much appreciated.

  Out of the blue no ignition lights, no start! Battery good, All fuses good, power to all none ignition consumers (inside light, hazards etc) If I give a live feed to the red/black wire on ignition switch I get ign lights and can start the engine! I am only getting 8ish volts at the red/black ign wire?

  Heya - my Mini One no longer starts, it just makes a clicking noise on turning the key. I was hoping that it's just a dead battery - it is 10 years old after all - but testing with a multimeter shows it's still at 11.9V.  That's a little low, but that should be enough to get the car started, right? Just wanted to rule out the easy options before I have to call a mechanic out.

  Done clutches on the 106 in past but can't remember if cable is adjustable or not. End nearest clutch (under battery) has a threaded end section.  Clutch is very flat to floor in car but clutch is not old, approx 3-4 years and low miles. Can't assess if cable is poorly fitted, worn out or needs adjustment.

  I ran a 4 speed torque converter automatic Sirion from new in 2009 to 2016. It was utterly reliable and still had the original battery and exhaust when I sold it. The Sirion is the best older supermini that most people have never heard of.

  The best weather condition are from approx 15C to 21c. If you get the car serviced at Toyota they will keep extending the battery warrenty for up to 10 years and with unlimited mileage.

  Hi, I recently had a problem with my car and had to disconnect the battery but it has reset the radio and I have to put in a code. I found some codes on here in an earlier topic but none of them have worked. I'm reluctant to pay or enter my card details into a radio code website.

  Remained in 2nd gear and wond start nor move. All the time stuck in 2nd speed. (gear). Did remove the battery and reconnect but no positive result. When disconnecting the solenoids the engine starts but no shifting. Display keeps saying: 2nd. gear and check transmission.   Please any help..

   However on occasion when turning the car over, it will reboot and lose all its presets. I am thinking a large voltage drop is causing this.   The battery is pretty new (18 months old). Is there something I should be looking at for other causes?

  Hello, Had my kia venga for almost a year now,its be faultless apart from one issue;-On 4 separate occasions i have struggled to start it,this happened in both cold and warm weather.Initially i thought it was my starter motor or battery but after having my mechanic check it he said everything was fine. Has anyone experienced this before? My car is a 2011 venga,petrol

    Not many of them display the C.C.A. they may posess instead they show starting Amps and max. Power Amps . Anyone got rough idea or reccomenfation for which ones WILL start a dead battery up for a diesel engine 2.2 litre, thanks , Brian.

  Today driven 10 miles in it no problems at all, stopped to unlock parking space, got back in key in the ignition, turned ignition very quick clicking sound and flickering dah lights, car will not start. Could this be a low battery in the key fob causing problems with the immobilser or should I be looking for something else?

  Parked up my Focus yesterday ...went back to it an hour later and she will turn over but will not start up? We have changed the glow plugs... The battery is fine .... There is diesel coming out of the injectors.... We have read that we may need to change the Crankshaft Sensor but where is is it? Any advice hugely appreciated.....Kev

  Wonder if if you can help please? I've just bought a second-hand Vivaro. Tried to put the code in to unlock the radio (Battery had been disconnected by previous owner) but the central digital display (for clock/radio/outside temperature) is not working. Is there a seperate fuse for the digital display or could the problem be something else?

  Hello I have a  problem with my 2001 galaxy 2.3 heater controls.....The fan is working but seems to be stuck on cold also the air-con is not working and the buttons do not light up and also it only blows onto the windscreen. I have tried the battery disconnect / reset and tried removing and reinstalling the control unit to no avail. Is my control unit dead....? .   P.S. the rear control unit seems to be non-op too.

  The vehicle has an intermittent hot start problem and when it occurs it will not start until the car has cooled down for approx 30 mins. Spark plugs are Ford OEM and been changed recently, HT leads are in good condition and battery tests show it fine and healthy. Engine is the 1.8 Petrol Zetec-e    Not sure what to look for next?

   The 10 A fuse in the fuse box in the car and the 30A fuse in the engine bay are good.  Wiring from battery to switch proves motors and switches are all OK.  There is a "circuit breaker (item 74) in the haynes manual, this looks like a candidate as it is common to the windows and sunroof.  Where is item 74, the "circuit breaker".

   There are no warning lights on the dashboard.  What could be causing this?  Another friend has told him to disconnect the battery, wait and while, then connect it up again.  What should he do?  I said he may have to take it to a Vauxhall dealer for diagnostics. Thanks in advance.
