Ford Focus Diesel Estate 1.8 Endura Di - Crankshaft Sensor Location - Kev M

Hi all... Parked up my Focus yesterday ...went back to it an hour later and she will turn over but will not start up? We have changed the glow plugs... The battery is fine .... There is diesel coming out of the injectors.... We have read that we may need to change the Crankshaft Sensor but where is is it? Any advice hugely appreciated.....Kev

Crank sensor could be near starter motor ,at front of engine,or down the back,near crank pulley.I would be very surprised if that is the problem.

Diesel injector operation is based on a crank angle signal so if you have diesel coming out of the pintles your CAS is working.
