DS 5 - Smoke from DS DS5 Diesel engine after a short run 16 Jan 2018 (Forum)
It does regular short journeys and as such doesn't get up to temperature. However it often gets good long runs at speed, the last being 500 miles over Christmas up to Aberdeen and back. I've always filled it up with Shell V-Power Diesel. Today I went on a short run of about 10 minutes to the supermarket, and back home again after about half an hour. -

I have a 2001 Citroen Xsara 1.4, which I understand uses the PSA 1.4TU engine. From about 6 weeks old, the car would run a bit 'rough' when started whilst warm, and fine when started cold. Dealer couldn't find any problem even after a few visits, so I took it to another dealer who were more helpful. By this time, it had periods were it would run really rough, with a bitty yet 'boomy' engine tone, and was very much down on performance. -
