  Is there anywhere on the internet I can find detailed depreciation data for cars? Obviously it will be predicted but for example I'd like to know roughly how much a Mondeo TDCi, C5 HDi, Passat TDi etc would be worth at 3,4 and 5 years old.

  Anyone of a website listing as many insurance companies and brokers as possible (i.e like the ones in the back of the car mags!). Looking to get a new quote, using the old fashioned method of as many quotes as possble and selecting the cheapest!!

  My question is will it be better in the long run to invest in something better or will the cheaper option be a solid runner? The older car is the old shape so there is a saving for that reason. Also I know the maintenance cost will be higher for the older car but then I will have spent £3.5k less on the actual car (almost half!)

  Just had my emission test done. Needed to re-register car tomorrow (no MOT as such here where I live, just the smoke test). It's only 10 months old so it passed with CO% reading of 1.4 (pass is 3.5) and HC 323 ppm (pass is 600). On getting my certificate I see there are different pass standards for different cities, for example Cebu and Davao are 6 for the CO and 7,500 for the HC(huh?).
