any - car with little use parked on drive 30 Jan 2020 (Forum)
I'm looking to buy a nice second car probably spending 10 to 15K, the only thing is it will have relatively little use maybe average 50 - 100 miles a week (not short journeys) It would sit on the drive exposed to elements. I am mindful that the car might deteriorate. Is this a valid concern or am I worrying about nothing? -
Does anybody not enjoy driving manuals? 21 May 2018 (Forum)
Recently swapped car and ended up with a manual as it was a good deal and I still really like the car but it is irritating me that I didn’t find another automatic. Hoping I forget about the pleasure of driving an auto or I can’t see me buying a manual car again. -
Any - Driving Licence Photo Renewal 14 Sep 2010 (Forum)
I have just uncovered a new stealth TAX on the motorist. In the last month or so both me and my wife have been sent forms for the renewal of our driving licence Photo's with £20 to pay for the priviledge. So it seems the government are getting their ID card fees anyway. This is a blatant TAX on the motorists of the UK and a very nice little earner for DVLA. -

Volkswagen Golf II (1983 - 1992) - Selling Car Privately - Test Drive Insurance 7 Feb 2008 (Forum)
I'm selling a car, a first for me, and was wondering what to do if someone wants to test drive the car. Do I take their word that they are correctly insured (they won't be under the car's policy), or should I ask for proof? The car is only worth £300-400. -
Defensive Driving Courses in Edinburgh/Lothians 21 Jan 2008 (Forum)
Does anyone know of organisations running defensive driving courses in the Edinburgh/Lothians region? I'm thinking of buying the missus one for her birthday, as she could do with some - ahem - "development" in areas of hazard perception, anticipation, etc. and generally protecting herself against the idiots who seem to flood the roads. -

mondeo misfire? 7 Jun 2004 (Forum)
when i drive my mondy i get a misfire at about 2500 to 3000 rpm. it's ok when accelerating and it's ok at idle, it just misfires when i coast or on gentle deceleration. it's a 2000 zetec 16v 1998 and it's 100k+ miles. the fuel economy is really good most of the time as i do motorway driving and i dont drive it hard.
